Just picked up a 2024 Forester Wilderness Edition yesterday 8/30/2024. Great people working there. They are very relatable respectful and patient. They patiently waited for my all my documents to come in and checked up on me often. Would gladly do business here again

I came in for service and Albert,the senior service advisor took care of me. He made the service experience fast and easy and got the necessary service done. The technician left the car neat and clean. I’ve always had a positive service experience at Northcoast.

Saw a car that we liked on their website and submitted my information to let them know we are interested. They called us almost immediately after submitting my information which was almost 9pm, which was great, and we told them which pre owned car we were interested in. They had us make an appointment for the next day and we drove 45 minutes away to the location just for them to tell us, during our discussion, that the boss supposedly texted the sales representative we were talking to that the car was sold. Why have us make an appointment for a car that you don’t even have? Why couldn’t the boss come out in person to let us know instead of texting the sales rep? He had greeted us when we first walked in. Complete waste of our time and unprofessional.

If you need parts, I highly suggest Chris from North Coast Subaru. I ended up ordering the wrong parts and he was nice enough to wave some of the associated fees and help me find the right parts. He worked with me through the entire thing and went out of his way to make sure that things were resolved in a kind and effective manner. I don't usually write reviews but this was the best parts experience I ever had to share. God bless you Chris!

I bought the car from this place, and it went relatively smooth. I was satisfied with the purchase.
But, they also sold me the extended warranty, from a third-party company (they didn’t mention this, specifically Alex) and I’m trying to schedule a service for more than 2 MONTHS now. They keep saying “someone will get back to you”
They even called me in, for a service, I drove 2 hours, back and forth, so they could tell “System is still down, and we don’t have a loaner”, even though they said there is a loaner, and system is back.

My son bought a 2022 Preowned Honda Civic less than a month. The customer service sucks. First to begin with the sales department was aware that the Windshield had a chip and we were never told at the time of purchase! However when this was discovered I telephone the dealership only to be told that they were aware of this but only my son the customer was never told about this. Every time I call to speak to the manager he’s always in a meeting! I leave numerous messages for him to contact me to no avail. Communication is very poor . I have to be the one to be calling. There no follow up on customer relations

Update: 2024/06/21
Back in April 2024 I receive a message from Nick the new service manager for North Coast Subaru reaching out and stated, 'We would like you to give us another chance in servicing your vehicle or in the purchase/lease of another vehicle.' At the time I was swamped and had no time to deal with my wife's Forester.
In 6/3/2024 - I reached out to North Coast Subaru to setup an appointment to troubleshoot her A/C which abruptly stopped working. I had to call back to double check that we were assigned a loaner as this was an issue during COVID and afterwards with the prior service manager. Unfortunately the woman who answered my call stated there were no loaners available and no idea when would be available. I asked her to have someone call me back when one is available to reschedule my appointment. I waited a week, two weeks No one called about a loaner and to reschedule my appointment, nor even to check up with me and state still no loaners were available. In the back of my mind I remembered Nick emailing me so I searched for the email. I reached out to him about the matter, and to schedule an appointment with a loaner which he said he would get back to me. He got back to me and mentioned that he was able to confirm a window of 6/19 to 6/21 for an appointment with a loaner but needed me to get back to him right away. I was able to secure the appointment with a loaner.
We were able to get the A/C repaired (two bad 'O' rings) and I went back and picked up my wife's Forester around 2:30PM the same day. With all this said I'm revising my review back to 5 stars.They have a new service manager Nick M. and from what I saw they were in the process of installing new computers.

I'm dropping my review now down to 3 stars.
Dealership has changed ownership.
Experience at this dealership has declined.
Issue - Loaner Vehicles.
We had two back to back service appointments for our Forester but on both occasions the promised loaner was not available. The third appointment they were able to finally provide a loaner but the experience has already left a bad taste in my mouth.
This dealership was not a cookie cutter dealership, and had a personal touch in how they dealt with customers. It is no longer a recommended dealership by me.

Excellent Maintenance, Prices and Customer Service
1st scheduled maintenance, staff was professional and courteous. Thorough assessment and explanation of work to be done before and after service, and what was covered. They check our tire issue and came back with a cost for a replacement tire along with mounting and balancing. Of course their cost was more than online but that is to be expected.

Edit:Unfortunately this place has become like every other dealer now that it was gobbled up by a larger auto group. Their scheduling department is completely clueless as to what vehicle is where and schedules appointments without confirming that the vehicle is on the lot. I had 3 appointments scheduled only to be called prior to each appointment to be told that the vehicle is not on the lot. The third time I was told that the vehicle is no longer available as it was sold. Minimal professionalism and value for your time.
Original review (5 years ago): After contacting several Subaru dealerships, we decided to work with North Coast Subaru because of Lisa’s commitment and customer service. Lisa was responsive, patient (we weren’t the easiest group to work with) and attentive to my parent’s needs. Additionally, she worked diligently to locate and get access to the exact car that they wanted. The process was relatively smooth (some acts of God got in the way) and my parents left the dealership happy with their new purchase. Financing was straight forward and there were no surprises, thank you Jesse. I would definitely recommend contacting Lisa and North Coast Subaru when exploring purchasing or leasing a Subaru.

I have both of my Subarus maintained here and always get great service from Albert Thurmond. Most recently had work done on my 2016 Forester. Albert always recommends the most reasonable and necessary maintenance for my cars. He also provided value added services like a loaner car, 10 pt inspection, a car wash, and took care of other smaller nuisance problems as well. I would not have my Subarus serviced anywhere else but North Coast. Albert is a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with.
