MANITOGA / The Russel Wright Design Center is a wonderful, magical, and one of a kind place. It is the House, Studio and 75-acre landscape of American industrial designer Russel Wright, located in Garrison, New York. It is a National Historic Landmark and a special place offering a wonderful reprieve, perfect for a cloudy day. It hosts powerful energy to learn from and connect with nature. It is a great and inspiring outing, really worthwhile and highly recommended. Visitors can take a Design - Art - Nature Tour or enjoy a Mosses & Wildflower walk. The team and tour guides are truly kind, knowledgeable, and fantastic, explaining everything thoroughly. The site sometimes features artist installations. Access to the House is by appointment or advance tour reservation only from mid-May through mid-November. The woodland trails are open for hiking only from mid-November through mid-May, year round during daylight hours. It is lovely for design and architecture enthusiasts.
