They made me wait for an hour bc they told me they take walk ins from 11-1 with my 2 year old toddler to tell me then tell me they can only take me after they take people with appointments which would leave me waiting there for 2 hours.

I had a passport appointment at 10am. Got there at 9:30am. At 10:00 Dee Dee started to take care of me. I didn’t know I had to fill out an extra form so she gave it to me. The appointment is for 15’ Around 10:10 a couple with 2 kids showed up, Dee Dee said to me are you finish? Because if you are not I will take care of these people. I said to her no you are not. I waited here for my appointment and my appointment is not over. So at that point she had and attitude. I told her I wanted to talk to the Postmaster so she went to get the Postmaster and Chang who is the supervisor showed up I said I want to talk to the Postmaster I know all of them I had been living in Garden City for 26 years. Neither Dee Dee or Chang wanted to call the Postmaster.
I kept telling Chang I want to talk to the Postmaster and he refused to call the Postmaster. Chang kept saying you have to tell me what is this about it. I told him I want to place a complaint about Dee Dee. He made me repeat it about 3 times so he could call the Postmaster. He refused to do it so I left.
In the past a substitute mailman carrier kept going thru my bushes and Chang thinks that he can tell people you can’t talk to the Postmaster. So it was the same situation with Chang. At that time finally I talked to the Postmaster Joe Vandercobart and he didn’t do anything. I called Consumers Affairs.
After I talked to Consumer’s Affairs they did something about it because Consumer’s Affairs got involved and they will never ever are aloud to go thru the bushes.
Then today I called Consumer’s Affairs.
The only way anything is done in Garden City Post Office is if you call Consumer’s Affairs and complaint about them. Chang and Dee Dee should not be dealing with customers if that’s the way they treat people. I am sure they would not like if anybody would treat them like that. What Dee Dee and Chang did to me is so wrong in so many levels.

The worst post office in the world. There customers service is horrible, they scream at you for small things and there rude.

Came in 15 minutes before my passport appointment and saw 7 people on this supposed passport line. Waited an hour on this line and still had 4 people ahead of me.Why issue appointments if there don't honor them. Left after waiting 2 hours and 40 minutes. What a disaster. Took off from work with no progress.

Horrible service ! You never know who is delivering your mail or when . I think the entire place is temporary workers . One time a while back I was missing a credit card . I spoke to a Mr tamarro who said they would check my mail . This guy was lying ! Talked down to me like I was an idiot ! Turns out my credit card was stolen by one of HIS workers .

I have been to this Post Office more than three times, and never when it's open. I just entered the Post Office to drop off mail. It's an traditional brick building Post office on a corner off Franklin in Garden City. The location works for me since I always find myself passing it on the way to my final destination in Garden City. I am guessing one of these days I will enter the Post Office when it's open. We shall see when that day will come.

Today I was at this post office and a gentle women helped me a lot, her name is Dee Dee, she was so patient, helpful and super quick doing my baby’s application for passport. :) thank you Dee Dee
