Great sale on men's suits and dress shirts. Slow checkout lines. Cashiers are overly friendly and delay the checkout process. In the entire floor, only saw 3 staff. Poor customer service.

Only giving one star coz you can’t give zero stars
Awful experience to schlep all the clothes in your arms or over your shoulders as the store does not have any shopping carts!!
Don’t even go to the clearance section coz it looks worse than a flea market-nothing is organized by size and you’ll drown in the chaos of it
Just balancing clothes that you selected and putting them on your shoulder to flipping through the racks will frustrate you
Very few checkout registers on the women’s clothing section, returns and exchanges are in another section altogether which is just poor planning
Then after all that they put your merchandise in a brown paper bag that’s flimsier than a lunch bag made with brown paper to carry peanut butter sandwiches to school
And wait for this…it has no handles!!! So if you have a walking cane or a walker or a toddler in tow you’ll really have to figure out how to take it home coz the only way to carry the brown bag is by hugging it close to the body provided you actually find enough things to buy
I spent close to $150 yesterday and the flimsy brown paper bag was the worst joke of the day! I’m better off shopping online! No wonder Amazon is more popular than any of these stores !

I had such an awful experience here this afternoon (9/18/24). This is the first time I’ve ever left a review for any place I’ve visited, but I’ve never felt so wronged as a customer. My boyfriend and I were looking around in the cosmetics section today, and when I noticed a brand of makeup that I needed to purchase a product from, I called him over. Out of nowhere, an employee very rudely asked us if we needed help, and didn’t appear to hear us as we replied “No thank you, we’re just looking” at least three times. She kept repeating her question in a condescending, slow tone that suggested she assumed we didn’t understand her / couldn’t speak English. When she appeared to finally hear us, she gave us the nastiest glare and threw her hands up as if exasperated by us. For context, my boyfriend and I are both younger looking adults of Asian descent. I’m not sure if it was our appearances that gave this employee the impression that she could speak to us a certain way, but it was most definitely not appreciated. We left the store immediately, utterly disgusted by this unprovoked treatment. I wish I had seen her name, but all I remember was that she was an older, blonde woman. I haven’t been to Roosevelt Field Mall in years, but I do think we will be avoiding this JCPenney if we ever do come back to this mall again.

Used to be a better store. However lately, they don't have a big selection on sizes. Every piece of clothing for sale ranges from small to X Large. Except for the older stock on Sale the're trying to sell.

Chaotic experience. Did not find what I was looking for, and did not want to stay to look. Place looks understaffed and some of the staff look and behave miserable. I ordered something online to avoid having to come here, and I still had to come back to return it because it came horrendously damaged.

The hours that are posted online are not correct they do not open up on certain days at 10:00 a.m. everyday it opens up at 11:00 a.m. they need to correct the hours online

All of the JCPenny employees, especially the cashiers, are filled with attitude (ex. assoc 0773). Employees should undergo training again on their tone and behavior with customers. Besides the horrible customer experience, the store also does not have any variety of products and clothing. Macys is much better. The company’s critical financial state reflects the experience it provides to its customers (JCPenny is filing for bankruptcy).
