Went here to try to see if they could shorten my wife necklace that I just bought from them online. I wanted them to shorten it by NOT cutting it, just add a ring two inches up to get another place for the clasp to attach to. I was told that they would have to send it back to the factory then wait two weeks to come and get it. Also, I was told that I would have on sign off on a waver to the warranty on the necklace.How odd, here I was under impression that this was a real Blue Nile store and that Blue Nile had actual confidence in its own goods and its own jewelers.If you had either one of the above, why the heck do I need to waive my warranty on a three day old necklace of your own making?You are only getting any stars at all from the workers there who were very pleasant to deal with. The two stars here are for them, I would have given them more, but I dont want people thinking its for Blue Nile.

The service and Selection of the pendant were great. My biggest complaint was the teeny tiny chain size that came with the pendant. My jeweler looked at it and said he was surprised with the small chain size that Blue Nile sent with the pendant and said they used to send better quality chains with their pendants. The platinum chain is so small that it knotted up next to the jump ring. The first time I could get the knot out with a needle and the second time I couldn't and had to break it off my neck. I called Blue Nile and they said their policy is that they would not be able to service the chain without the pendent too. Both had to be shipped back to Blue Nile. I told them there was nothing wrong with the pendant, it's the chain only that needs to be repaired. They still would not accept the return or a refund for the chain only. I will not do business with them again.

just a terrible experience. ordered a diamond on December 4th with delivery expected on Dec 11th. as of December 22nd, nothing delivered and no forecast for when it will be delivered. no help from customer service. no solutions. just a terrible experience Update... they got it there in time in the end but it was painful...

Buyer BEWARE! In a world with so many options, do NOT consider this place one of them. Absolutely HORRIBLE “after sale” care for their customers. Don’t be fooled by their kindness and willingness to help you when purchasing a ring. They offer ZERO resolution to any issues after they get your money. I will be following up with legal counsel but I thought it would be nice to warn other potential victims of their poor customer service. The lady in the show room was completely uninterested in helping me find a resolution and to date, “corporate” has been the same. If that changes, I will update this review accordingly.

This review is for their site service not storefront. Keep away from them for a while. They blame their headquarter transition as reason for their business problems, should have been part of their transition planning. They don't hold inventory, don't have control of their vendors, don't know where their product is coming from and lead times are a mystery. 11 days for them to receive their stock, repackage and send on. Several days in a row customer service said 'its shipping today', but was just a lie. They don't know if it is coming international or domestic.Their automated phone system for tracking packages asks for the 8-digit order number, but their order numbers are 10-digit, that's just an example of not getting the basics, and if the basics aren't in line, what can you expect for the rest of the org?

The middle-eastern(?) man (apologies if inaccurate), A.W., was more focused on my fiance as it was assumed that he was the one carrying the wallet lol. Little did he know that the decisions are always made by me, the female lol. He also never talked directly to me and focused more on my male partner even when handing his business card out before we left. He wasn't blatantly rude but you could tell that he doesn't respect females. He also asked us if we intended to buy lol that was actually the first thing he said. Not sure if I would go back unless I ordered online and had to pick it up from the store.

Awful experience. I went to their showroom in Charlotte, NC to exchange a necklace for a bracelet. I was told in the store that my item would arrive the following Thursday. It did not. So I called the customer service (if you can call it that) and was told that it hadn't been mailed out yet. They said they would overnight the item. Again they didn't. Lie number 2. When I got the shipping information, showing it hadn't been overnighted I called again. I was told a supervisor would call me back to discuss. No one called me back. Lie number 3. I called again 4 days later and was told tough. They also accused me of lying about what I was told in the showroom. Avoid this company, they don't tell the truth and take no accountability when found out.

Bought our rings elsewhere because the white associate was behaving as though we couldn't afford the rings... didn't like her comments AT ALL!!!! Businesses have to be cognizant of who they are hiring AND make diversity a part of training.

Was helped out by a gentleman named Abdul. Very well put together, kind and knowledgeable. He took his time and treated not only us but other customers well as we watched! Ive never been let down this is my second time working with blue nile and i will continue to come back.
