This place is like a factory. Today it took 50 minutes for me to drop off my pup. It's ridiculous. This isn't the first time this has happened. They predominantly do drop offs only and it always takes forever for the intake. My dog only needed an injection. Also it never states anything on the app when you make the appointment. Save yourself the headache and take your pet anywhere else.

I would give zero stars if I could. We've gone out of our way to visit this location because there isn't one close to where we live in Queens. Our dog has had blood samples and urine samples taken on two completely different occasions and we've had to go back three times because every single time the sample that was given wasn't working because of their machine. Completely unacceptable. The inconveniences that they have caused us are completely unacceptable. How could anyone continue to go here. We are canceling as soon as the period is over.

Poorly Managed vet office. Their business plan maybe good for the cooperate office but certainly not good for the consumer. My dog has been suff with diarrhea for the last few weeks. They have lost her poop sample twice. They dont answer the phone. Twice in the last two weeks I have driven there while on hold . Today it was more than 2 hours. I arrived and she said no one is on hold. Run while you can. We love our pets way too much. Crawford/Banfield doesnt love them at all. Former client if Crawford for more than 50 Years! Two Thumbs down.

Been a member for 3years and during the first 2years the hospital was fully equipped to help with any issues or routine check up. Now They're too busy or don't have the "proper equipment to assist" if you have a slight problem with your pet. In addition, you are not allowed to stay with your pet, only drop offs. They don't answer the phones or return calls. This establishments has downgraded there service. Time to find a caring doctors office for pet!

One star because they did actually give me the first visit free, But after that, when I tried to follow up with them on the problem I went in for about my Cat, they did not call me back all day after waiting for a call back; they only after picked up that initial call after 7 back to back calls to them! To which I was told I'd get a call back at 4:30... and with 2 hours to closing I called 8 more times and no answer. I trusted them with my pet's health.Very unprofessional for a Vet to not care about ALL pets, even those not Banfield Members. If you want your pet truly looked after, go else where!!!!!!!! *UPDATE ADDED* Update: 3 days later still no "call back". Vet Licensing Exam should have to be taken again for such lack of profession and lack of consideration for health of animals!

my dog needed a medical grooming so we made an appointment asap, the receptionist was going to say 11 but the vet said to bring her in at 8:30 instead because it was going to take a couple hours. alright understandable but she made it a drop off appointment, it's my second visit here so my assumption was i would drop her off & the time they told me would be the time they would start grooming etc. 3 hours go by so i decided to call for an update. phone rings no one picks up, i wait 15 mins & call again, phone rings twice then sent to voicemail, called again, phone instantly goes to voicemail, i wait another 10 minutes, called again, phone rings, no one picks up. i come inside because that's the only way i'll get an update since no one can pick up a phone. they tell me that the tech got pulled into surgery so they couldn't start the grooming.. for 3 hours they kept my dog in her crate when she didn't need to be there (she's an anxious dog). i ask her why she couldn't pick up the phone to at least update me. the other girl buds in quickly, told me the phones were down so they couldn't pick up but i called 4 times, 3 out of the 4 times the phone rang and when i walked in they were both on phone calls. another thing is that they couldn't get to my dog because it was by appointments first ??? so telling me to come in at 8:30 on a specific day for a service isn't an appointment? or a drop off appointment isn't as important as a regular appointment apparently. they couldn't have called me during those 3 hours to tell me that the tech wasn't available.

I just wanted to take the time to inform you of the terrible customer service I experienced at Garden City Crawford Banfield, NY. This is not my first experience with them but it will be my last. I took my previous dog there which led me to the decision to use other locations like Levittown and Farmingdale because the service there is just poor. Today was just another example. Unfortunately, because they were the only ones with the soonest appointment I chose to use them as a last minute thing for pets and I wish I hadn't! I was late to my appointment because of the bad weather and a sick pet and they did not accommodate even after they said they would; which was just taking a fecal sample & a nail trimming. They signed me in and took me & my pet's name only to tell me after waiting 20 mins that they would not see the pet for a simple nail trimming and take a fecal sample. They then told me that I needed to go back Farmingdale with a fecal sample and leave. SO IT WAS OK FOR THEM TO MAKE ME WAIT 20 MIMUTES BUT NOT OK FOR ME TO RUN LATE! (due to bad weather and a sick animal) INTERESTING I wasted almost 2 hours with the altercation and nothing was resulted with a fecal sample in hand. If I could have gone to Farmingdale I would have because Crawford Banfield is not a place to be. They give Banfield a horrible rep and I would never go back. TAKE YOUR DOG SOME PLACE ELSE! There customer service sucks!

My dog Charlie had a dental cleaning scheduled yesterday and the drop off time was 8am. I did not get a call until around 4pm from the staff stating that they could not do his dental procedure because they had an emergency. They did not provide me any updates about this at all during the day. When I tried to call them around 2pm for an update on Charlie, no one answered. I had to call again and try a few different options to finally talk to someone. When I finally spoke to someone around 2:30, they didn't have any updates on Charlie and didn't know when he would be ready.My dog didn't eat or drink all day because he had to fast for the procedure. They also shaved his arm and inserted a catheter even though they didn't do the procedure. When we went to pick him up, I heard him crying in pain when they were removing the catheter. It's really unfortunate he went through all of that and stayed there for hours without food and with no updates, all for nothing.I brought Charlie there before and have also had him wait there all day without being seen hours after drop off and with no communication to me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt by bringing him again there yesterday for his dental cleaning only to have an even worse experience and I truly regret it.

I've encountered several unsatisfactory incidents at Banfield Pet Hospital. The staff could definitely be nicer, and they don't provide ETA times or seem to have a clear understanding of what's going on with the pet's care. The fact that there are no appointments is inconvenient. Dropping off my dog in the morning and picking them up before closing makes it difficult to plan my day. Additionally, their arbitrary system for determining which dog is serviced first is frustrating, and I don't appreciate my dog having to wait in a kennel all day, even for minor issues. These recurring issues have made it clear that Banfield Pet Hospital has not improved over time. Unfortunately, these experiences have led me to the decision to no longer take my dog there.

Horrible place. They didn’t treat my dog right. They had him in a cage for 8 hours without any water. My dog when in for a simple consult about his ear The employees are rude and racist. Carina there is not helpful whatsoever. They never answer the phone. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PET HERE. Horrible experience.
