He should change the name to K9 limited. As long as you don't have a pitbull

I have worked with Sal twice over the years and he helped me and my dogs greatly. In the early 2000s I brought my dog Wynne to him, she was a rescue and had some aggression issues - in particular towards other dogs. He helped me to understand her better and helped her get over her fear and anxiety - all while socializing her and learning basic obedience. In 2011 I adopted a dog from out of state and had him shipped to New York from down south. I knew he was good with kids, had some aggression issues towards males and was soon to be euthanized if he wasn't adopted . . . So, I really didn't know what I was getting. When Dooley arrived, I immediately knew I was out of my element. I could barely control him when walking him and he was literally terrified of everything. I immediately called Sal and explained the situation. On the day I brought Dooley out to Sal to be evaluated he tried to attack a visiting trainer Sal was working with! Sal still calmly evaluated Dooley and we enrolled for training. When I left training Dooley was "bomb proof" and 10+ years later he still is. Sal helped me mold a terrified dog into a calm, self assured, intuitive family dog. I could not have asked for a better outcome.Dooley reads situations well and will look to me for guidance when he is unsure of how to respond - he truly is the perfect dog and I know a lot of this stems from the time we put in training with Sal. Here we are years later and I can say I don't 100% agree with Sal's view on specific breeds but if we still lived in the area he would have been the first call I made when we chose to add a new dog to the family. Thank you Sal for your help with Wynne and later Dooley, I will ALWAYS stand by you as a trainer.

Just by their responses to negative reviews, you can just *tell* how unprofessional they are. It’s amazing to think that claiming each 1 star review (which is the majority, by the way) is a “false” review, is unbelievably and arrogantly naive. People are smarter than that, honey.

Very unprofessional and rude(Edit)Thank you owner for your response. You’re right, I have never used the services at your school but I am a dog owner in the local market your serve. However for years you have been continuously ‘rude and unprofessional’ in the respect to encouraging the discrimination of certain breeds. In my opinion, as we’re each entitled to, there is no place for a dog trainer in our area who can’t even treat animals properly. As many of your customers stated in previous reviews, your professionalism and short temper are additional reasons people should bring their dogs and money elsewhere. Just leaving an honest review. I was considering using your services until after looking further into your business. I was terrified after realizing how cruel you are as a person and for that reason I will never bring my dog near or around K-9 Services Unlimited.

They do not like pit bulls and bad talk about them even though they are the sweetest dogs in the world. Not a good place to go at all. Very very unprofessional. Any dog can bite. They should be ashamed. I’m so happy they closed. They were awful people.

I was trained by Sal And his staff when we got our German Shepard George. It was an hour a week with an hour drive to and from his facility. BEST time I ever spent for my dog. It has been a wonderful experience from day one. Sal and his staff were so respectful of me and my dog. I brought George back for a “refresher course” At no charge. When it comes time for a new member of our family, Sal will be my first call. I have had dogs for many years, my biggest regret is that I did not have Sal to train all of them. It was a blessing for us and our dog. My advise. Call Sal. Thank You Sal and Your Staff. Julie and Barbara and George.

Called about services. Took forever to get a return call. The person on the phone was rude and unprofessional as well as Unknowledgeable. I was looking for a trainer for my nieces dog in that area since I’m too far away to help her personally. We decided to go another route after they refused to answer basic training questions about their methods unless we paid. Well no we aren’t going to pay before we find out if you believe in hitting dogs during training.

The five star reviews for this business are clearly fake. This is by far the worst choice to train your dog. They are frauds, choose a true professional.

I have always been met with professional dedication. My dog started as a puppy and continues to learn. My dog has NEVER been mistreated and I have always been treated with the utmost courtesy and respect.

Very unprofessional, seems to have very limited knowledge on dogs. Very short tempered, and childish. Not only that but they don’t even seem to like dogs! Don’t know how they’re a business, nor how they work with animals!

K-9 Services Unlimited has been in the business longer than I've been alive and came highly recommended as a first-rate trainer and one that's been able to solve all kinds of problems. If you want an expert with decades of knowledge and experience, I, too, recommend K-9 Services Unlimited.

If you want to bring your dog someplace safe to a trainer with common sense, this is a good place to go.
