Beautiful, rustic facility. Friendly staff. Fantastic, talented and enthusiastic young actors, plus broadwy-caliber adults. A must-see.

My sister and I saw newsies last night and the production was phenomenal!! I expected a good show, But it was way above and beyond that. I had never been to the Playhouse, but I will definitely come back for more! Great job!!

Love this place. Franklin does a great job running it, choosing plays, choosing great actors.
"Founded in 1947, the Forestburgh Playhouseis the oldest continuously operating professional summer theatre in New York State. The Playhouse operates from May until October, offering an array of live, professional, theatrical entertainment including musicals, plays, cabaret, theatre for young audiences, concerts and special events. The Forestburgh Playhouse Academy provides year-round performing arts education programming. The In the Works-In the Woods Festival serves as an incubator for emerging playwrights and composers with a week-long rehearsal and development process that culminates in a weekend of performances each September.
