I'm basing the stars on my usual experience here which is always fine. I find everything ok and all the employees are nice and always helpful. I usually wouldn't even write a review for a Duane Reade but after the other night I felt the need to in order to express my disappointment with a specific employee. The name read Stacey on her name card and apparently she's a shift supervisor. There was a line of customers and in front of everyone she was berating another employee (an older man who has always been very nice when I'm in there), to the point of calling him "annoying" in front of everyone. She rang me up and didn't even say thank you or "have a nice night" when I was done. Instead she just turned to another employee and started talking about the older man again and said "he got me tight". Keep your shit talking for the back and not in front of customers. That's no way I expect a shift leader to act, no matter how annoying another employee may be to you. Extremely rude.

Each pharmacist makes up their own rules, and tell patients conflicting information. They also once tried to give me a prescription I was trying to avoid because it was giving me side-effects. This, after spending all day working on getting the replacement - only to be given the shitty Rx again.

I went to get a shot on Saturday 10/5/19. The room where the shots re given is filthy. There was an open trash can with food. There was food and other trash spilled on the floor. Supplied were open to two disgusting flies. I walked out. This place is unsanitary.

What a Mess! These people take your information not once, not twice but three times. Have you come back two weeks later and still medicine is not available. Holy!! What a shit show!

This pharmacy is out of medication quite often and they are slow filling prescriptions. Female pharmacist is very pleasant but the male pharmacist is extremely soft spoken. I cannot hear a word he is saying over the phone. Most of my experiences at this Duane Reade pharmacy have been frustrating and time consuming.

This is my neighborhood go to store and I've always enjoyed the experience there except this time because of some rude Hispanics/Indian looking girl. If her brain was half as big as her attitude I wouldn't have to spend my Saturday evening writing this review. An item that was suppose to be on sale but wasn't so I told the girl that they should honor the price. She had a meltdown and gave me the biggest attitude while yelling slamming things and telling me it's not her fault since she didn't post the sale sticker. The nice manager later came and handled everything seamlessly and apologized. This is the best example as to why automatic checkouts should replace lower human labor. Why does a customer have to pay to get assaulted?

This location is usually well stocked which is always a major plus. Some sections are smaller than others like the lotion aisle. I was searching for Dove Cream Oil Lotion but had no such luck. Although it was in stock online I didn't want to wait a week to receive it. This location functions as both a Duane Reade and Walgreens. They care brand name products and also products that are less expensive through the Duane Reade | Walgreens line. They carry beauty products, household items, beauty consultation, FedEx pickup and drop off, liquor department (beer only), photo services, passport, ATM, and a Western Union. They are also open 24 hours. The pharmacy is open late Monday - Saturday until 9pm. On the weekend they close early on Sunday at 6pm.

this duane reade is huge, and located right in front of a major train stop so if you need anything, it's super convenient. it's 24 hours so you can be getting back late or just out in the area and grab snacks or anything else at 3am. the staff is always friendly and efficient. The space can be pretty messy, for some reason almost always in the aisles of food by the fridge, making it a bit hard to navigate the store. They sell some random "fancier" brands of things from body products to la colombe draft coffee, so they have a good variation of product. reliable and always open make this a solid place to pick up prescriptions and get what you need.
