“I recently visited Ulta Beauty in College Point, Queens, New York, and had an outstanding experience with Angie M., the Master Stylist. Angie not only has a welcoming personality but is incredibly skilled. She corrected my haircut from a previous stylist, cleaned it up beautifully, and was so detail-oriented, constantly checking her work to ensure everything was perfect. My hair stayed smooth and didn’t get puffy at all after the blowout – a rare outcome for me!
Angie also provided excellent recommendations on hair care products tailored to my hair type and educated me on how often I should get cuts and trims to maintain my hair’s health. That’s the mark of a true professional – someone who cares about your hair even beyond the appointment.
The manager, Samantha, was also very welcoming. She checked in during my appointment to make sure everything was going well and invited me to an upcoming class on November 14th, 2024, where they’ll teach clients how to do a blowout and style their hair at home – something I’m excited to join! Samantha also recommended their Benefit Brow Bar, where the Beauty Bar employee was great at educating me on how to style my brows, suggesting the best products and shades for my skin tone.
Several other employees and even customers complimented me on my hair, which was a huge confidence boost. I highly recommend Angie to anyone looking for a skilled stylist who genuinely cares about her clients. The whole team at Ulta Beauty, from Samantha’s support to the benefit bar Expert , made my visit a fantastic experience!”

They sold me a used item not only was it used it was a tester lip stain!! I went back to see what they would do to fix their mistake. All they did was say sorry we can’t do anything for you after trying to say it wasn’t at their store. Sephora would never! Please check all the items you purchase as they may be used and full of bacteria. I’m baffled.

Worst experience....
It's my second time coming here to this location & the experience is ABOSOLUTELY upsetting due to the fact in how they treat you there as a customer. So today, I went for a pick-up online order in this location, and this lady in the register named (Paulina) was very rude & unprofessional. BY THE WAY IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I felt discriminated... I was doing a pick up online order & of course I was purchasing some items, and she, with her uncalled attitude, said, I'll take your items that you're paying first with an attitude!!! Then I just went ahead and paid for the items, & tried to use some store credit I've had & haven't used it in like forever. So there was a issue with the card that couldn't swipe, I tried swiping many time and it didn't read because the card was scratched since it was old and never used, I kindly asked if she could check the balance for me and she said that I have to call customer service. But it clearly says in the back of the card I could check the remaining balance "in store," which she didn't want to do. On top of that, upon finishing the transaction. I had to give her my order number. She got the order number and found my items.. slammed the bag with my items inside.. on the table, then opened the bag with a digusted face. She also left some paper garbage inside my bag with the items, after checking and writing down in her book, etc.. which im pretty sure she could've thrown it out instead of leaving it inside my bag!!!! How am I supposed to feel when I encountered all of that being done to in my face. Am I supposed to feel happy with my purchase??!!! Abousolutely NOT!! I WAS DEVISTAGED!!! after everything, I just grabbed my bag and left, and she had the nerve to ask if everything was OK?!!! NOTHING IS OK, NOT WITH THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE IVE ENCOUNTERED TODAY!! I WOULD NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN MOST DEFINITELY WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO MY FAMILY NOR FRIENDS!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. They seem to treat you differently because of the way you look & you're dressed/ & if your spanish!!!!! Never again!!!!!

Recently visited store. Worst customer service. The staff was extremely rude with high school bully attitude. You'll seriously need to hire person who have some experience on customer service.

Twice that I make an appointment and they cancel same day.
I booked the last appointment with one stylist and they changed it to another and ontop of it cancel same day.

Recently visited this store and found their perfume and cologne section to be quite frustrating. Due to frequent thefts, everything is locked up, and they only have one key for the entire display. This means you have to wait for an associate to assist you, which can be inconvenient, especially if they’re helping other customers. It would be great if the store could find a way to streamline this process to improve the shopping experience for fragrance enthusiasts.

This Ulta store sucks, my in store experience is always crappy. The associates are always walking aroung BUT NO ONE IS HELPING, stood by the perfumes and no one came to help despite three associates walking around. I could care less for the cashiers too, they were rude as well. Retail is retail but will not be coming back to shop in person, at least not at this location.

Weirdest ULTA location I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to ULTA locations on the West Coast. I’d never come back here due to the strange treatment towards me. Racists will say I’m pulling the race card but the reality is this area doesn’t have a lot of Black shoppers. The 2 times I did come here I wasn’t greeted and staff didn’t attempt to assist me. I’d never come here again.

Spoke to Nathan on 20th avenue to ask a question. He was so rude and abrupt. He hung up on me while I was wishing him a nice weekend. Do better, Ulta, your employee's conduct determines whether customers frequent your store.

I was Not satisfied with my experience. My friend and I stopped by to do a color match for foundation. I asked for someone who was experienced with darker skin tones and they brought someone out. The associate had no idea what she was doing. I should have known when she started stalling before helping us. She started by telling us that she doesn’t use foundation herself and asked my friend what color does she use…. Um we came here for you to help us figure out. She then made my friend apply the foundation on her own face. Didn’t have my friend sit down or anything. I politely told the associate that we had to go. The associate was nice she just had no idea what she was doing. We went to another Ulta and had a completely different experience.

I love ultra beauty because you can buy stuff that are cheap and awsome and they are always in stock
