From the minute I walked into this place I was disgusted. These ppl should not own a pet shop, they only want the money and do not care about the pets. My friend asked me to find him a yorkie if not I would not even went in. I asked if they had Yorkies, the lady took me up two long flights of stairs and went to a little dark room and brought out a teacup yorkie. She was so frightened and boney. When I held her she reeked like nothing but cigarettes, you could of seen the black in her ears and the smell that came out of them was even worse. When the lady put her down she couldn't walk. We thought she had health issues but it’s because she was never let out of a cage from the time she was born. She kept falling with every step she took. I was heartbroken. I asked the lady how much did she weigh because all you felt was bones and she said no more than 2lbs. I looked at my hubby & said we must take her, this is wrong and neglectful. The lady said she smelled like cigarettes because the man that was there would smoke in that room where she was kept in the dark all day. I couldn't bare the thought. I questioned the man and he said “she will be okay” and I told him that's neglect, she's under 2lbs and her ears are black. She was so dirty. Lady said $1800 for her in which we told her we can take her for $1500, she said no. I told my hubby let’s just pay the $1800 and get her out of here. It took her over 3 hours to walk in my house, my hubby kept walking back and forth until she got the hang of it. I gave her a bath immediately and took her to the vet the next day to get checked. She had ear mites and yeast build up in her ears. 14 Q-tips later and her ears were still coming out black. Can you imagine?? 2 days later they called me her poop results came back with Parasites so more meds for that. We spent over $800 in medical to get her updated plus her vaccines. The friend I went to get the yorkie for said he could not take her now so we made the decision to forever home her. We named her Bella, she has been with us 2 months now and is so happy, gaining weight [now weighing 2.3lbs] and running around the house enjoying life. I guess that’s the only thing this place did good was let me find her. She is my forever baby now. BE CAREFUL BUYING FROM THIS DIRTY NEGLECTFUL PLACE. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN

Still by far the best place in flushing to get pets. I've been coming here since AL use to work here and it's been the best pet store I've ever been too. The owners are super nice and friendly and very helpful at helping you get started with your new pet. I got many fish from here and they're still thriving well today. If my wife allows me one more tank I would get more fish from here for sure. They're the longest running pet store in flushing and by far the best one. If you want to get amazing pets come here they have everything !

Not gonna lie I know these puppies are from mills but still this place is quite clean, has an odd smell on the first floor since the puppies are located on the second, I fell in love with one of the shih tzu puppies and I wish I could get it but they are very expensive especially considering they came from dirty places made to produce puppies. Dogs there are 1300$+ but on sale they could be around 1200$ hope this helped

Northern Aquarium Pet used to be better a decade ago when they had a wider range of fish species. Although the new ownership seems nicer, the fish selection is limited to freshwater species, the store's setup is outdated, but at least their tanks aren't filled with dead fish like larger retailers. Unfortunately, being a local fish store, they are struggling to stay relevant in a changing market. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit, but don't expect anything exceptional.

I must say I’m saddened I found out that I’m allergic to Max( Welch Corgi) he was lovable and friendly, including with my grandchildren, never barked . Wee wee pad trained instantly. He loves cuddles ! Again, I am deeply saddened that I won’t be his caregiver anymore. I am glad that the pet shop took Max back in without any hesitation. The owner was understanding, and I appreciate their business .

I am the lady that brought back a multipoo puppy. I was told he was younger. That was not a problem. After being given his papers, the dates were wrong. I called the vet that gave him his first shot, and realized he was not a local dog, but was flown from Arizona at a dangerous age. I was told not to let him out of my home or wash him for 2 weeks. His hair was matted. I am a social worker. I also have a degree from the New York school of dog grooming, and have been a volunteer at north shore animal league. You said I brought him back because he was barking. Not true. He was bleeding from his rectum. His nose had a fungus and pieces of his nose were falling off. It was a holiday week and I was unable to get an immediate appointment. I was afraid he would die. He is a beautiful dog. I will not be able to sleep at night knowing that a person without any emotion for a living creature, can continue to be anywhere near animals. I do not know how you live with yourself, but I will make this right.

They won't let you go in with out an appointment. When you go inside there is not alot of option and smell very bad. A bit overpriced charge 20 dollar for a regular guppy.

it's still open and more disgusting then ever before all the fish tanks are extremely dirty which means the fish probably will be sick. the birds are treated poorly there's 10 of them in a small cage. your greeted by this lady with beautiful blue eyes at the door and she won't let you in unless you tell her what your looking for she is rude. they should definitely be out of business by now
