Conveniently located right across the street from the Queens Public Library. The store is packed to the brim with things that they sell and pathways are narrow to walk through. Be careful not to accidentally knock things down with your bag when you try dodging people's elbows hitting you on the side or trying to squeeze right through the aisle because they can't hear you saying excuse me for the thousandth time. Despite the store name being 99¢ and Less, nothing is actually 99 Cents and below as the price. If you ever need to pop in & get some last-minute stationary like pens, a plastic folder, or even a pad of paper....you know 99 Cents or Less got you covered. Quality wise also depends on the products you're getting. If you expect to find a really good pair of sturdy earrings or a beautiful designed birthday/holiday card from 99¢, ehh then this is probably not the best place you will find these things at. However, there's always an exception and that exception happens to be when I have strolled by the place after getting off the Q25 bus today. There's a basket filled with an assorted selection and all different colors of beanies right in front of the store. When you step inside, there's another basket of winter hats inside too. I have to really dig through a bit in the baskets in order to see what's good underneath especially that's how you sometimes find the goodies (wink wink). And what do you know? I did end up finding a thick beanie made out of polyester from each basket. It wraps my head all the way around and able to cover up my ears completely. Plus, the pink-gray-white color scheme looks stylish and not tacky plus easy to match with outfits. The fluffy faux fur pom pom at the top makes it more trendy, creating a cute and eye-catching detail to your winter essential item. Woohoo! Being able to find a thick, warm beanie nowadays is very important...making sure you won't catch a cold from the wind slapping in your face or the feeling of wind blowing from the back of your head. Of course I end up buying both beanies, wouldn't you? Lining up to pay doesn't take that long like maybe 5 minutes the max. I think it's cash only but please correct me if I happen to be wrong. The beanies are $5 each. Don't expect the staff to greet you with a smile, cuz you didn't go there for the service....you know you're there for the goods lol!

The workers are very rude and disrespecting . Go to a better discount store where they value their customer's and treat them with respect .

I had been going to this .99 store for yrs, I've spend ALOT of money there, they know me. I had about $55 worth of things on the counter, I needed a color paper, I looked for an orange one $.99, I found 1, it was DAMAGED! So I politely asked owner if I can have it for .50 cents, she got up in my face n made a comment in Chinese then yelled NO I CAN NOT! In my shock I said "Really?" I turned around n told the cashier to get to work putting everything back bc I will be shopping in the BIG BRAND NEW STORE ACROSS THE STREET n so will my family n friends! I'm glad I did bc it's Hugh n they have EVERYTHING n more! GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE is everything when ....Their loss for being greedy.

I made a purchase and was over charged with two $1.48 cent purchases. I went back to the store and the owner said let’s review the video and the video showed what items I had in my hand. So the cashier rang up to fake charges

I came in to this 99 cents store looking for an oven mitt. This store is so packed to the point where only one person can walk in the aisle at a time. There is nothing in the store that is a dollar. My oven mitt cost $1.29 and after tax it was $1.40. When I went to pay, the cashier lady was rushing me as I was getting my 40 cents when there was only one other person behind me. I paid with a $10 bill and 40 cents, so I was expecting $9 back. The cashier quickly threw my change on the counter and she only gave me back $6. I stood there counting my money like 3 times because I wanted to make sure I was wrong. When she saw me still holding up the line because I was counting my money she took the money back without exchanging a single word to me and gave me the correct change. Honestly, this place is trash. If you're not in a hurry just walk up the block to go to the other 99 cents store.
