Even though Hanbok Story prepares costumes every year, this is my first time writing a review. When I was a kimchi ambassador a few years ago, I desperately needed a hanbok, but would it be contaminated with kimchi ingredients? After experiencing a situation that should not have happened, such as only politicians wearing our hanbok, I also heard rumors that some hanbok shops buy used hanbok from Korea and rent them out, so I wanted to find a custom hanbok that suited me.
Driving to Flushing for an hour felt like a long trip. However, the warm words and meticulous customization of Hanbok by the representative of Hanbok Story made me think, ‘Ah! That's why everyone around me told me to go to Hanbok Story! ’ I thought again.
Hanbok Story CEO Jeong Yoo-jeong selected the most beautiful traditional hanbok, saying, “You are doing good work for our country, so I would like you to wear the most traditional and beautiful hanbok.”
We would like to tell you that Hanbok Story is, in name and reality, the best hanbok restaurant in the Eastern United States, run by CEO Jeong Yoo-jeong's craftsmanship and trust in customers.
Hanbok is available in all natural colors such as traditional hanbok, improved hanbok, party hanbok, white, pastel, and colorful hanbok. In particular, when women wear it, the chest roll creates an armpit line.
In fact, because I suddenly gained weight due to illness, I was reminded of the elegant lines of Hanbok. Instead of using a skirt with one pattern like a regular Hanbok, colored fabric was used at the end of the skirt, which had the effect of making my legs look longer.
The fabric stands out in luxurious color combinations such as flower patterns in various colors, silver foil fabric, and gold leaf fabric, and when combined with hair accessories, Hanbok accessories, and rubber shoes and high heels, the perfect Hanbok look is completed.
Not only do they have dry-cleaned and clean hanbok, but the reason why I highly recommend it is because I am undergoing treatment and my weight varies by 20 pounds every year, but they make me a custom-made hanbok every year.
Another useful tip is that you can pick it up in New York, but return it in New Jersey, so it was even better for me because I could save time by not having to drive for an hour to visit again. ?
My husband and I wore matching hanboks at this Liberation Party event, and we were able to make the event shine by recommending sky-blue jade hanboks that matched our skin tone.
The reasons why we recommend “Hanbok Story” are as follows.
1. There are various types and colors of wedding, pyebaek, and wedding hanbok.
2. Hanbok fabric is imported directly from Korea, so it feels better than other fabrics and has a variety of shapes and designs.
3. As for specialty, the difference in details such as the chest puffer and the lining that you designed yourself proves that it is a luxury hanbok.
4. Accessories There are accessories to match your outfit, and especially when wearing a petticoat, foreigners are treated with Velcro tape so they don't have any inconvenience in putting on and taking off.
5. If the hanbok does not fit your body, it will look bulky and dull, which can be a disappointment when taking pictures, but Hanbok Story, whether rented or custom-made, adjusts it to fit your body, so your look will be revived.
6. If you live in New Jersey, returning it is easy. If you drop it off at the New Jersey Palpac drop-off location, you will save on unnecessary driving time.
7. Since you receive clean, dry-cleaned hanbok based on trust, we recommend it for first birthday parties, weddings, family groups, and from a hygienic standpoint.

Last 7/6/24, at my daughter's wedding ceremony, me, the groom's mother, and a person who looked like my maternal aunt... Four people borrowed and wore beautiful Hanbok from Hanbok Story. The owner was very helpful in everything from the process of choosing the hanbok to preparing it. Because it was an out-of-state wedding, the rental time had to be longer than the original rental time, but they were very considerate and paid close attention to each and every detail, so I received a lot of compliments from everyone saying they were so elegant, graceful, sophisticated, and beautiful. Thank you very much, boss. I will also ask for it for my son’s next wedding.

I wore my parents' hanbok for my wedding, and they were so friendly and comfortable that I even wore hanbok here after giving birth! There are a lot of pretty hanbok and the owner is very kind, so I highly recommend it???

Rented a hanbok with my sister for New Years this year and was blown away with the selection, quality and overall experience. The owner hand makes each piece and so every piece is unique and special. I loved the modern styles and the ones made with colors that you don’t typically see elsewhere. Will definitely be back to rent for any special occasions!

I rented all the supplies for my baby’s first birthday party here.Most of the guests were foreigners, and when they saw the banquet table set up in our living room, they praised the beautiful colors and splendor. The owner of Hanbok Story majored in art, so the harmony of the banquet table was really beautiful and the photos came out well.

The moment I walked in I was blown away by the variety of traditional hanboks in the shop! I went in looking for several hanboks for a photoshoot, and once I showed the owner the style and colors I wanted, she went and picked out the exact styles and color combinations I was looking for. She helped me try on different outfits, even suggested shoes and accessories that went well with the Hanboks. The owner is also a hanbok designer and was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. I believe she is one of the handful of people who rent and design traditional hanboks here in the NYS area. I have a deep respect for her work. She also had modernized hanbok options as well. I rented a total of 3 outfits and would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to buy or rent a hanbok. 5 star service and 5 star hanboks!I went to rent a traditional hanbok for a photo shoot and was surprised at how many hanbok there were. When I told the designer/owner the color I wanted, he chose each and every Hanbok so well, and kindly explained every detail, so I was really grateful! There are so many different types of hanbok, from simple designs to fancy party hanboks. Since it was for a photo shoot, I tried on a lot of dark, vibrant colors and rented a total of three. I definitely recommend it to anyone having another event or wedding.
