I used Cathay for many years. This time when I called, a woman answered & I asked for John, who I have delt with for many years. The woman asked me "Cash or Insurance?" I explained that I was going to try to figure out which if I could speak to John. She refused to alert him that I called & continued to ask me "Insurance or cash?". I explained that John always gives me a deal & he allows the van to wait for me an extra hour for $60.00 cash BOOM! She hung up while I was trying to explain to her. I called back because I thought we got disconnected & BOOM, she hung up again. I called one last time & asked for John & a guy answered, it wasn't John. So I said "That woman just hung up on me twice while I was trying to get John who schedules my trips all the time. He asked the same question of me "Cash or insurance?" So I started explaining to him & he hung up on me. His name started with an F I believe, he hung up on me too quick to hear when I asked "what's your name?". The old owners were Asian, and they had manners, respect etc.. That all went out the window with these new owners. was Frank. I will never use these people again. New rude owners. Attention Cathay, don't bother commenting & asking me to call so you can apologize & lie about what transpired. John has to call me personally, or NO ONE at all.

This terrible company stranded my disabled son for 3 hours in the cold at Shield Institute. They are chronically late and they are heartless. These people, who barely understand English, only care about raking Medicaid dollars in and nothing about the patients. Stay away!

I would like to thank Cathay for their professional service. They made transporting my mom from the hospital to home a smooth transition. I highly recommend Cathay for all your non emergency transportation. They put the patient first which is very important !!!

Cathay made a very difficult process as smooth as possible. They were available last minute and still were on time with pick up. The facility I was transferring my parent from made the ambulette wait an hour but Cathay called me and told me what was going on and for an additional $60 charge stayed until the facility finally got him into the ambulette. The ambulette was clean and the driver extremely professional. Our trip was cumbersome since we were going from NY to NJ but they were kind and considerate. I highly recommend them.

The Personnel at Cathay ( drivers, service reps, assistants etc.) we're all very professional. I've used this service twice now on recommendation by a friend who uses them regularly. They we're very punctual, knowledgeable about manipulating patient who was not mobile, courteous and professional . I would wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone concerned with transporting a person/patient needing to be brought to an appointment but is not an emergency, as their title suggests. After using several different companies after my surgery, I will only use this ambulance service moving forward .they were extremely professional, clean, reliable and the driver was very pleasant and safe.Many other companies were fly by night and Unreliable.

I use this company every time I need to see my doctor and they always deliver. They arrive on time and their service is top notch. Vehicles have the latest equipment and the drivers are trained to be the best in the business. I could not feel safer. I will always use Cathay Express

Cathay Express Transportation rocks! I needed an ambulette to take my elderly Mother to a doctor's appointment. Cathay showed up early to pick her up. Tony and Wong the driver and helper were so helpful and patient with her every step of the way. I would definitely recommend Cathay Express Transportation if a service like this is ever needed. They are prompt, kind, considerate, and patient. Their prices are super reasonable. Keep up the good work! I will definitely be using your service in the future.

We just used Cathay for an ambulette while I was in a wheelchair with my leg extended out. Excellent service both ways and I felt very secure with them. Highly recommended

Extremely reliable service. Hired Cathay to take my grandmother for her weekly dialysis appointments from Flushing to Manhattan. Drivers came on time and helped my wheelchair bound mother inside the vehicle using some type of lift. Very satisfied with the services I received and the rates are great.

A transportation company is bound to run into delays when working out of the NY area. Our traffic is like none other. These guys provide excellent service and do their best to make sure their clients are taken care of. Highly recommended

This is the worst and most unreliable service I have ever taken. My fiance and I are currently waiting in the rain for the ambulette service. The reservation was taken and not honored by any means. My fiance is in a wheelchair and reserved a pick up for 3. There was no answer til 5, when we were told the driver would arrive at 530pm due to traffic. It is 7 and no one is answering. Whenbthey answered they told me they saw my reservation but could not call to find the location of driver, but could reserve another pick up 2 hours later. Altogether we have been waiting in the rain and my fiance in a wheelchair fresh out of surgery for 4 hours. I am disgusted. We are still wait8ng outside of now the closed clinic...DOES NO ONE GIVE A S***

Do not use Cathay Transportation! Called today to complain about a $100 charge. Was told it was a cancellation fee. I have used Cathay for years and cancelled many trips and have never paid a cancellation fee or been informed of one. The funny thing is when I called to cancel I was informed that they had no record of me scheduling a trip. I told John, who was extremely rude and disrespectful, to pull the telephone call since all calls are taped. Of course he refused to do it since he knows the truth. To my surprise, he hung up on me!!!!! How rude and unprofessional!! Since this company is under new management, they have gone downhill quickly! Will not use them again and advise no one else to. Called to speak to the owner. Apparently he doesn't come there. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB!!!

This company deserves to go out of business immediately. When I requested a round trip to Long Island, they quoted me a price of $100, round trip. However, I received two automatically generated email receipts. one for $500 and another for $60. When I spoke to the very rude company representative on the phone, he blatantly lied to me and said that I had authorized the much higher payments, and that he had a recording of the interaction, neither of which was true. I asked for a copy of the recording, which he promised to email to me, but never did, obviously because there was never any such recording. However, I do have a tape, and if the exorbitant charges that were never authorized, are not immediately returned to me,then I will take action in court. I needed to change my account, lest this company steals even more of my hard-earned money. Fortunately, the bank will be investigating. Of course, the same representative with whom I spoke hung up the phone on me. Please, I implore all others who had similar experiences, or in any way were mistreated by this company, please take action, until this company is permanently shut down and the criminal representatives prosecuted. Thank You! If you believe that you have been ripped off by this company, and it is clear that many people have, I hope that you'll consider working together to file a class action suit, no only so that we can all get back what we deserve, but so that no one else will have to go through this ordeal.
