Liquor stores don't come more average than this place; it's so generic that the name is basically the address. (#1) The store has been sandwiched in between this busy corner of Broadway for so long that people often glance right over it and it has remained a neighborhood booze buying destination for as long as I can remember. The selection isn't vast but they get the job done. There is a solid inventory of mainstream spirits in each shelf, all priced accordingly and some have been sitting there for a hot minute (#2). Walk 8 steps in any direction and that's essentially the whole place. The only time this place gets remotely filled is whenever the casino buses are picking people up around the corner and the seniors scurry in to buy something, presumably for gifts or likely personal consumption. (#3) While they have it, I wouldn't push hard on the wines or anything like soju / sake. The latter is available, but in limited quantity. Calling ahead of time is never a bad idea and this is a good option for folks on the go since it's right next to several bus stops and the R train station. Parking can be done across the street in the lot (#4) and the staff is usually bilingual in Mandarin + English (#5). __________ (#1) I imagine prior to opening the conversation was something like: Person: "Hi, we have the address, what's the name of your store?" Store: "Yes." (#2) Pardon the dust. (#3) Or that *very long* bus ride. (#4) It's a tight lot. Get ready for ding city. (#5) Hi Elmhurst, nice to see you.
