Branch had great service. Online customer service not as good, although they say there are a number of trainees.

Since the merger / takeover by Webster Bank (formerly Sterling Bank, formerly Warwick Savings, formerly National Bank of Florida), the personal and convenient part of this bank has been greatly depleted. Have tried calling numerous branches (on many different occasions, on different days and times) and it is next to IMPOSSIBLE to reach a live person to ask about making an appointment or an inquiry about my accounts. Other banks you can schedule an appointment online, Webster...nope. Webster, as part of their restructuring, has pleased board members by cutting staffing as well. Lines at teller counters and drive-thru are much more common. They still continue to operate on "bankers hours", closing by 4pm Mon-Thursday, very inconvenient in today's busy world. Competitors have full lobby hours on Saturdays, not Webster, nope, 9a-1p. Many Webster branches are closed on Saturday altogether. Ohh, and don't get me started on the Webster Banking App......time for me to move my accounts. Sorry Webster, you made your bed; now you can lie in it. 1 Star because the employees of Webster, in my local branch; are all good people providing good customer service. This is all a company problem, not an employee problem.

Great experience.I recently needed some statements and copies of checks. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the bank manager Iveta, she was very courteous and professional took the time to listen to my needs for the statements and copies and after a good conversation with her she offered to help me sign up for online banking, not only that but she also helped me installed the app on my phone and now I can check everything with one click.I'm very impressed of the service there!!

I recently had an unexpected death in my family and needed financial assistance. I was directed to the Sterling Florida Branch and representative Alia Tanvir was there to assist me. I could not be more grateful for her exemplary professionalism and compassion during this difficult time in my life. In all my years of banking services I found Alia to be in a class of her own. She is truly an asset to your company and I wish her continued success.

The worst bank known to man. Whether it’s the app not working, not sending you a new card after the old one expires, and/or having terrible hours of operation. This place will find a way to mess you up. Don’t believe me? Read the other reviews.

I am very disappointed with the overall service at this location. Every time I walk in there are 0 tellers ready to help you. There are never any tellers at the counter waiting to help so you stand there hoping someone comes around to greet you after you waited there 10 - 15 mins already. When you have a busy day you hope that you can get things done quickly but don't expect that here. Not a happy customer as this happens every single time i walk into this location.

This bank has declined rapidly in the last few years. There is no sense of urgency in the service. There are not enough tellers and the wait is always long. My understanding from a friend who left is that the pay rate for the tellers is not enough to keep good people. What a shame. Who do you see when go to a dank? The tellers are the faces of a bank.Sterling is not involved in our community.

Went in yesterday for a bank check, drove over an hr to get there from where i was. Very nice and clean place. The female member(teller 285), whose name unfortunately i forgot, was extremely nice and pleasant. She helped me get everything i needed within mins and with no issues. My phone didn't have service there but i was able to use their WiFi to access my email for some important information. Very nice place and that female member(teller 285) was excellent.

If there is a zero star rating, then Sterling National Bank should get it. They are the worst I have ever dealt with. Every year our insurance company submits Sterling's required proof of flood insurance. EVERY year we get a form letter (same one, same phone numbers) that they never received it, and they are going to buy insurance and bill us. We have the insurance company send it AGAIN. If you call, you wait for hours. Last year, I wrote it down -- 20 hours spent waiting until I finally got a person. I think they want you to give up and pay for their insurance. NOT. There needs to be a class action law suit. When I do get a person, again they say it was never received. Then when you tell them you have proof that, in fact, their fax machine sent a received response, they put you on hold and miraculously find it. Are they just incompetent, too lazy to match up the mortgage numbers with the insurance certificate, or playing a game to get you to pay for their insurance????

DON'T BANK WITH STERLING SAVINGS!!!! What happened to my money the highlights are: on July 28th I transferred a Sterling bank CD I had for 10 years at a whopping .7% interest to an E checking I told the Bank manager Bill I wanted to liquidate the funds on a few big purchases. I left the bank with the inactivated Debit/master card in my had. I spent the morning of July 29on the phone trying to get it activated. To use for a purchase we needed but could not get the card activated ended up putting purchase on a credit card which we didn't want to do. the liquidation of the CD was so we could pay cash! Out prerogative because we have the money to do so. August 5 th I tried again to activate the card so I could access my funds, after multiple phone calls I had to go down to the bank long lines fed up spending another Saturday at the bank. More phone calls with a nice helpful women named Alice. She got my card activated. Again after multiple phone calls and my lunch got cold during. Great alls is forgiven, card working. I wanted to use the card again that afternoon of August 5, CARD DECLINED!!! More phone calls to a David at a call center he was great but could only tell me there was a spending limit on my checking account but nothing more. Now the bank was closed ESSENTIALLY FREEZING MY ASSETS. There was plenty of money in the account 2x as much as I was trying to use!!! Again I had to use a credit card!!!!!!! Both these purchases should have been fun and exciting for my family but STERLING BANK TURNED IT INTO A NIGHTMARE!!!. Thanks STERLING bank! on the next business day I am closing my account and going back to "big bank" . STERLING we were testing the waters to transfer all our funds to you, but we are sticking with a the24hour custumer services of A big Bank. Ps all the employees were courteous. But that doesn't help bad policy.
