The crew who packed my things today could not have been more professional, kinder and accommodating. The preparation with the office , confirmation of arrival and general responsiveness of this company is heartwarming.They made potential anxiety inducing event much calmer.I highly recommend this company .

Avoid at all costs! $850 of wall damage that they have not taken responsibility for.I only selected them because Manhattan Mini Storage recommended them, which I still have no idea why. The movers were actually professional and able to do the job quickly with time leftover. Because of this, I tipped generously. Which is why I am so surprised that neither them nor the people who I am emailing with (Pat, Gail, and John) have not accepted responsibility, and have absolutely ghosted me as I'm trying to file an insurance claim through them. I'm writing this because I want other movers to avoid the same mistake I did by going with them. It is pathetic to me how people (like those mentioned above) are willing to cash in their entire moral compass and integrity over $850. Mistakes happen, but the way that this was handled is why I have put time into writing this review. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I used Moving Ahead for a move yesterday morning. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I was closing out my office and moving things into storage. Dominic was great at communicating and facilitating everything needed with me and my landlord and the folks who came to do the move were completely professional. They were timely, respectful of my things and even helped calm me down. All in all they did a fantastic job!

Had a great experience today with Moving Ahead. They expertly relocated all the items (some large, crated mirrors as well as boxes, large furniture and artwork) from a storage unit to another one and did it with such respect, efficiency and care. I'm very happy, so glad the company sent us Dante, Jeff, Paul and Steve who made the process so easy and were the hight of professionalism!

Have been recommending this company ever since our move in August. We chose to have them pack (HIGHLY recommend) and move us which, while it cost an extra $500-$700 to pack us between three people, it was 100 percent worth it. They made moving, which is so daunting, so easy as the packing saved us hours and days of packing, buying materials, and schlepping boxes to our apt. The guys were all so kind (Triple T, Pedro, and Germaine) and work so hard. How they manage to move two apts in a single day is beyond me. They deserve a Humanitarian Award. 5 stars!!!

I cannot say enough great things about this team. They made my moving experience seamless. Friendly, fast, reliable. Had 3 movers: Larry Mack, Kamden, and Jim. True professionals who arrived on time, handled everything with care, were friendly, helpful, and didn't waste a moment of time. Moved my sisters belongings from a large Brooklyn alcove studio into Manhattan Mini Storage on the west side Manhattan in under 3 hours. Pricing for such expertise and brilliance was beyond fair. A++++++ Will use again in the future and recommend to anyone needing movers. And be sure to tip them well - they work hard!

Moving Ahead Movers Review AWFUL! We would like to save someone else from the aggravation and being ripped off like we experienced. DO NOT use these movers. We had the WORST experience ever using Moving Ahead Movers in New Hyde Park/Mineola area. It was a comedy of errors. The movers came late because they were waiting on the wrong street and immediately said we were getting charged for the time they were there. The movers said we would be charged $50 for moving blankets and 2 rolls of tape before they even walked in the house. Originally the office quoted me $30. The office also verbally quoted me $100 less for move but when they sent me the contract it was $100 more just in case we went over the time. I would say this was a sneaky tactic. This was a VERY SIMPLE move. They were picking up a Dining room set which consisted of a two piece hutch, table and small server and bringing it 10 minutes away. My husband did the leg work ahead of time. He went to the house where the dining room set was being moved from ahead of time before movers showed up. He removed the glass shelves from the china closet, took out the table leaves and detached the top of the glass hutch from the bottom piece. Also, there were no chairs to move either. Therefore, they didn't have to wrap up the leaves or the glass shelves or take time to take apart hutch from bottom piece. They only had to go down two small steps of the house and broke the side glass on the China cabinet hutch which also damaged the cherry wood inside. There were no apologies from the mover or the owner of the company and they still wanted to be paid in full before moving this dining room set out of the house. By the way it was CASH ONLY! All they said was that they will send us a claim form. Then once they got to my house which was 10 minutes away they wouldn't let my husband see how much damage was done before taking the hutch off the truck. Before they brought the dining room set in the house we were told we were being charged more money because we went over the time limit slotted. They failed to realize that the few items they moved wasn't what pushed the time over the limit. It was that they damaged the furniture which was in pristine condition and didn't care and were just worrying about themselves. They wanted to make sure that they remained whole even though they were responsible in damaging our furniture. It was a win win situation for them. We wasted time talking to the mover who kept calling the company owner. I would never ever used them again and hope you take this review into consideration. Can't imagine the damage they would do if they had to move a lot of furniture. I understand that accidents happen but they showed awful customer service in dealing with their clients. I also have a suspicion that the one guy who moved the furniture wasn't a mover...he worked in the office and helped out because they were short handed.

Wow - just great service. Moving companies can get a bad wrap, but the professionalism of the MovingAhead team makes this a smooth (and cheap!) process. The team was very responsive. Make it easy on your self and use them for all your moving and storage needs

Moving Ahead does it again! This is the 3rd time they have moved me and they never disappoint. The movers were professional, efficient, respectful and fast! The movers wrapped all of my fragile items/furniture to prevent damage while moving. Additional supplies were provided to allow me to pack/wrap any additional items before putting it on their truck. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone looking for fast, professional movers!

I recently had to move my girlfriend's belongings from an apartment in Queens and my home on Long Island. I knew enough to not going for a company that lowballs you and then once your belongings are on the truck, you are held hostage having to pay more. Moving Ahead is NOT one of those companies. They offered me a fair estimate for a move into Manhattan. I had no issues with the company. The invoice estimate explained all the fees and potential fees in detail. Domenic followed up on my phone calls. On the day of the move, Brian and his two men showed up at my house on time and made quick work of the belongings in my garage. Then at St Albans , they worked fast. When you see a mover taking 2 boxes at the same time down a flight of stairs, you know he is a worker and they are not trying to stretch the job out. In fact they finished the entire job under 2 hours of the estimate. Very professional all around.

I cannot say enough about this moving company! Paul, Charles (Chuck) and Geffery, were completely amazing!! The care they took w our belongings was beyond incredible. Absolutely everything arrived perfectly!!! They were kind and had a great attitude. Moving is hard but these three guys made it fantastic! Please, if you need movers use Moving Ahead! Also, they were incredibly respectful of Covid guidelines as well!

Moving Ahead was just terrific in the packing and moving of our apartment. They were efficient,professional, courteous and on time both days that we needed them. The team, led by Paul Lazzarino, included Danté, Gerroll, Tommy, and " Triple T," could not have made this move any easier. This tri-state company was fairly priced as well; the appraiser, Larry was as fair as he was courteous. We've moved many times over the years, and no one has been as good as Moving Ahead!
