Fairly good selection here and the saleswomen were very nice, so I'll assume when they directed my attention to the elastic waistband jeans, they weren't trying to be insulting. Also at checkout they praised the jeans I bought as being "age appropriate." Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth and will probably stick to online shopping. I barely want to interact with people as it is.

Never having shopped at J. Jill before, I wasn’t sure what I was looking for. I was warmly greeted by Dawn, who helped me gather different ensembles for my daughter’s engagement party. I was undecided and she waited on me patiently. I couldn’t ask for greater customer service! It was a pleasurable experience shopping here! I will be back!

The Fishkill store varies wildly in staffing, especially their different levels of civility, attitudes, and attention to the customers, to the extent that today, my friend and I decided that we will never go back again. First, there was an informal sign on the door saying that they would be open from 10am to 6pm, but they did not open until 12:35pm. Then, because we saw there was someone there, we called; they said they would open shortly. When they finally opened--with an unwelcoming attitude--they made no attempt to apologize and were openly sour, humorless, and downright rude. We asked whether there was a problem with the schedule this week, and the clerk snapped that she had no idea. I mustered up the good will to try some things on but by then was in no mood to purchase anything. In the past, the store has had a few cheerful and helpful attendants, but today was the last straw.

I drove an hour today to return something only to find that they are only doing curb side pickup yet their website shows them open ... NO mention of only curb side pickup. Was told I could go to Danbury ... so that would be a 2 hour drive for me. I’m very disappointed! Rethinking shopping at JJill again!
