Charming! Small museum packed with information about the history, geology and creatures of Fishers Island. Also has an exhibit with the sketches of Charles Ferguson, son of museum’s namesake. Definitely worth a stop. Entrance is by donation.

Amazing museum that curates the fascinating history of Fishers Island from prehistoric times to now. Exceeded our expectations. Pierce has a wealth of knowledge on the island and was a great tour guide. Thank you for a memorable experience!

Nice museum. Gives you information about the island, for example, it was once part of Connecticut, not New York, and it gives you history about the ferry system,

The Henry L Ferguson Museum has 2 topics: Wildlife and History. The Wildlife Section focuses on the birds in the area, and the History section (the larger section) focuses on Fishers Island's past as an industrial facility and the history of the ferries. There is a model of a ferry that lights up if you push a button. I highly recommend this to a history lover or a person that wants to know more about Fishers Island. Admission is free.
