I was happy with the service and customer care I received at my last appointment. My previous two appointment experiences with left me feeling that Romano VW was going through some staff issues within the service department. Mike R and Raquel were very attentive and handled my service needs!

Dan Hamed is one of the best salesman I have ever get in touch with. He made the car buying process as smooth as possible for me. Got a great deal on the car! Dan was so kind enough to make sure I have all I needed before I leave the store. Huge thanks to Dan!

Purchased a 2015 VW Golf SportWagen TDI used in February 2020 with ~30k miles on the odometer (not from Romano). Car was originally registered in Texas according to VIN records. In late 2021 I noted corrosion appearing around the front passenger door handle. I became aware that VW offered a 12 Year, Unlimited Mileage, Limited Warranty for corrosion and contacted Romano Volkswagen to see if this corrosion qualified. I brought the car in and they took pictures and in the process also identified signs of corrosion on the rear driver side and rear passenger side doors (same general location). The warranty claim was approved and I brought the car in for repairs in early 2022. Romano Volkswagen uses the neighboring Romano Mercedes as their body repair shop. The repair was completed in a timely manner, and in general I was satisfied with the experience, despite the paint color match being less than perfect. Approximately 6 months later in September of 2022, I noted that the paint was starting to bubble on the front passenger side door and then reported the corrosion to Romano Volkswagen/Mercedes in November of 2022. Romano VW/Mercedes agreed to repair the corrosion due to the fact that it appeared <1 year after they had repaired the exact same area of the door. After dropping the car off to Romano for repair I was informed that “…I should let you know that this is the last time we can fix the corrosion on the door. VW paid the first time, & Romano Mercedes is picking up the tab this time as a “Good will” jesture. But do to the fact of the heavy corrosion, we cannot fix it a 3rd time. If it comes through again, you will have to replace the door.” That seemed like an odd response given they did not inform me that the corrosion was in an advanced state when performing the original repair, so to me it seemed like they did not repair it correctly the first time and were looking to remove themselves from any future warranty claim. Within 2 weeks of receiving the car back I noted that the paint was already bubbling on the newly repaired door. Romano VW/Mercedes claimed they were working on a “supplement” to replace the door directly with VW. I continued to ping them with limited information being provided and then also notified them that corrosion was appearing on the rear driver side door in June of 2023 and then notified them that corrosion was appearing on the rear passenger side door in September of 2023 at which point they stopped responding to my emails. I tried reaching out to Volkswagen with limited success and was referred back to a “local authorized Volkswagen dealer”. I am working on getting a claim submitted through Burdick Volkswagen, but wait times for these types of claims are exceedingly long. The corrosion has advanced significantly with rust stains bleeding through the paint and becoming an eyesore, as well as appearing under both the sideview mirrors on the front doors. Car has been great otherwise and service appointments at Romano VW have been relatively pain free, but this experience with honoring what I believe to be a valid warranty claim and Romano Mercedes unwillingness to stand behind their work has been disappointing.

Please go to local garage for any service!! Was charged 5X a local garage and the issues with mad cat was only partially resolved. Something as simple as sparks plugs was needed and was given the run around. Do no get your car serviced here unless you are willing to get price gouged, and work to not be done.

Traded my car in about a month ago for a VW, was told the trade in value check was sent a week ago to my to the bank I had my previous car loan through, come to find out never sent out till the other day, was supposedly overnighted bank never received it. Brought in my title for my old car (signed correctly on the back) for them but still filed a lost title for it and they still charged lost title fee. Very poor communication through out the whole process. Had to call numerous time to even get a call back from the accountant department. The sales man Joe was okay typical sales man. Never communicated well always said he couldn't get ahold of anyone, could of sent a text or leave a voicemail never did.
Wouldn't recommend anyone to buy a car from them due to the poor communication and poor customer service.

Let me tell you Dan at Romano VW went above and beyond and made this super easy. I have been a vw owner for over 15 years and when the local dealers couldn't make the deal I wanted on my Atlas trade, I took a chance and drove an hour to Romano. Dan had my deal done in 30 minutes. To top it off he also drove and delivered my car and picked up my trade in Utica! My wife and myself are now Romano people.

At Romano Volkswagen, you receive the best customer service from everyone in the dealership. They work very hard to meet your needs when purchasing a new vehicle.
