Amazing dinner!! Our server Liz did an amazing job, on top of everything. The GM Trevor stopped by checking on us. This is a hidden gem!

Just went with my wife recently. This is my 4th time going over the course 3 years and each time, the food has gotten worse. I ordered the 24 Oz bone in ribeye, she ordered the Filet. We were both offered a sauce or compound butter option for our steaks. There were multiple options (at an additional cost). If I had known I needed to order one of those options for either of our steaks to have even the semblance of seasoning or taste, I would have. But should I really have to, is the question. Both steaks had no seasoning at all. The disappointment of ordering over $100 worth of steak to have it taste worse than something you could order at a side of the road diner is ridiculous. It was quality beef, it was cooked decently, but you are charging premium prices for steak that has literally no seasoning. The Fingerling potatoes were actually really good and her Brussel sprouts were decent as well. The potatoes were actually seasoned perfectly. I'd put the person seasoning the potatoes on the grill, honestly. Out of the 4 times I've been there, I've ordered that same steak 3 times and each time it has gotten worse. Stop pushing toppings for a steak that is good enough quality for just salt! This was our 3 year anniversary after having our first date at this establishment. $226 for two glasses of wine, two steaks and a side each. It honestly feels like a waste of money. I'm willing to pay that type of money at a place offering a food experience that lives up to it. You guys aren't even close.

Food is very good. Service is outstanding. Thursday nights are very noisy. Almost impossible to have a conversation.

$55 Steak pictured. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was delightful. The food, however, was just satisfactory. Considering the price, I believe there's a need for a slight improvement in the culinary offerings.

Great ambience / decor. But bit loud if you’re sensitive to that. Service was prompt and friendly. Food is good but not great. Had special - Chilean sea bass - fish nicely cooked but sitting in pool of oil. Must have been from pesto like sauce? Got Brussels with balsamic and honey. Again, pretty good but very oily. Those two dishes and a draft beer came to $67. Not sure that’s worth it really. Seems like fun place for a group but for food alone won’t be a repeat for me.

We have been to this restaurant many times since it opened but not regularly, we visit and stay next door so it is very convenient. The place is always TOO LOUD but that cannot be helped, but the jerk Saturday Night in the bar screaming at his friend and "girls" should have been controlled, the swearing and screaming while people around him were eating was inappropriate and would have ended in an escort out from my restaurant. It went on for the entire 1.5 hour visit. We ate here twice this past weekend. The waitresses were professional and friendly. First night apps before a show were very good. The second night we went for a full dinner, my steak was a great piece of meat and cooked properly but for a "Black Garlic infused" steak it was completely unseasoned with roasted garlic piled next to it. No sign of salt or pepper what a shame to a great piece of meat. My wife's fish special was overcooked and fishy. Disappointing. Would we go again...yes but we would be more careful on what we order.

Heard the Craftsman had one of the better burgers in the Syracuse area. And they did, my burger was great (5/5). The hand cut french fries were a bit of a let down, weren't my favorite style, and they went limp pretty quick (3/5). I also had a side of coleslaw, which I would not rate highly (2/5) as it was pretty bland. Dining room interior and overall atmosphere was really nice. Prices are reasonable. My wife enjoyed her meal as well, we will be back.

We walked to Craftsman tonight (first time out in 2+ years without kids). Wife ordered the winter sangria and I had a beer. We also ordered the bacon flight which never "landed." After an hour and multiple individuals getting their meals around us I asked for the bill and requested to speak to a manger and that the bacon flight be taken off (because plates and silverware were still sitting on the bar in front of us). No manager but at least the bacon flight was removed. 1.5 hours and 25 bucks later we walked home. Thanks but no thanks Craftsman.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet. Food was excellent as was the service. All the staff was friendly and professional. We will be back again next year!

With the only downside being how overly expensive this restaurant is, the atmosphere and experience is very, very good. I do wish they would expand their cocktail menu a bit. The Craftsman Old Fashioned is absolutely wonderful, and the bacon flight as well as steak flight cam be cool if you don't mind the price.

My date and I came here before a concert and we both ordered the fried beer battered haddock and we had to return both dishes for being over breaded to the point that we were chewing soft dough and the fish was past flakey, overcooked, and flavorless. Zach our server was great and got us chicken wings and the catch of the day which was Halibut and delicious, dinner was saved.

Update: 11/12/23 Trevor was very quick to respond to what or issues below were and took full responsibility, without excuses, conveying wanting to maintain their high standards that I was previously used to...They sent a gift card that was generous in my opinion and I will stop again in hopes, the food and service I became accustomed to here is as I remembered from many times prior. Thank you Trevor!Mom's 81 today figured a good Happy Birthday dinner was in order. With my go to restaurant in Fayetteville closed today The Craftsman it is...This is my 3rd time here since the remodel and not at all like the last 2 which went from very good, to good, to this last visit today...the first of those which I had a room. Today was disappointing...Update mom's fish was good and the lemon caper sauce and the gnocchi was good, mom's fries were bland dry and tasteless, the sweet potato fries and Honey Maple butter was very good, the prime rib and bun of the beef on a wick was good, however, the bottom bun was soggy soaked through so undesirable, I would have preferred soaking it in the Au jus, and whomever has the notion that the wet limp white onions in this offering even remotely approaches what "caramelized" onions are has a lot to learn about cooking food but limp, white & tasteless... I hope it's not sitting in a vat of juice meat and onions together but you know it probably is...carmelized onions take 45 minutes to an hour is your hint! The "fire Roasted parmasan asparagus" was not pre-snapped so tasted like hard straw, the ends soggy like boiled not fired anything and the Parmesan chipped off a cold block lol, awful, they were sent back. The garden salad and shallot vinegrette was fresh and good. The deserts (salted carmel cheesecake and flourless chocolate tort) looked and tasted frozen or boxed with possibly the Butterfly cake being the exception. ...really this place is beautiful but food wise has plummeted for anyone with a true pallet...the server got his 15% (my disappointed minimum) but didn't fill my water till the check came, and wasn't real attentive during...nice enough guy...I won't likely be back again unfortunately...to the restaurant. Hopefully the menu from the hotel is still good. For $140 I will cook my mom's dinner next year at home.Wheelchair accessibility: They have it

The restaurant was amazing, well made cocktails, delicious food, and fun atmosphere. Check in was a breeze, room was large, modern and most importantly clean! The town was easy to navigate as well as safe to adventure around. If traveling to the Syracuse region, this is the place to stay!
