Don’t let the empty parking lot in front fool you, these guys are very successful. They are so successful they don’t need me as a customer.The reviews here make it sound like this is the kind of place I was looking for where I could get some help with a project and keep my money local. But the woman I spoke to was so rude and standoffish, I won't have any trouble never going back. Apparently I insulted this lady by inquiring about a non-standard size of lumber. I just bought a house in BH Tracy's neighborhood and I'll never go back or purchase supplies from them--after one interaction!I don’t think I will ever understand how local stores don’t know they’re competing with the big boxes and Amazon, where everything is cheaper. If you can’t compete on price or selection, you have to offer something... knowhow, guidance, advice, or at least be passably polite.Alienating local people just trying to support local businesses is just a head-scratcher.On a positive note everyone working there was wearing a mask and the hardware store part of the business seems clean. If you're a lumberjack and can suffer pointless rudeness when you ask for help, this might be the place for you.

I come here for all my woodworking needs. The wood is of the highest quality, the staff is super knowledgeable, product is easily accessed and the office is stocked with pretty much anything you need from tools to window caulk. This beats every other lumber yard I've experienced.

Wonderful hardware store. Definitely my go to before I go to Ace Hardware or one of the big box stores. Prices are very reasonable. Love the “antique” feeling when shopping here. Lots of history in this place.
