Would not recommend this location would definitely recommend going to Fairport or Geneseo. Store manager is extremely rude. Walked in tonight and was told by the gentleman working in pets that he could not help me that he would be back from break in 15 minutes if I wanted to wait. Also, was accused of theft at this location when a cashier didn’t ring in the right item during my transaction.

I love to feed the birds, squirrels, chipmunks and any other critters that wander onto my property, so I'm a bit of a regular at CountryMax. I am a member of their Bird Seed Club so after every so many trips I get a free bag of bird seed, which is nice! I usually visit the one in Farmington because everyone there is so friendly and helpful. In the spring I also purchase many seedlings for my garden and they always bring lots of harvests. I love that I can bring one of my dogs into the store with me and they are greeted by staff as well. I've also had staff offer to load my car up for me as well. They have a great selection of feed for any animal and I love all their bird feeders and bird houses. The last time I went they even had canning products. You never know what you'll find.

I used to but my gardening need here untill I went and on my trip I got black tar on my tire I asked the gentleman who was just leaning cleaning his nails if he had a scrapper of any kind even in the janitors closet and I got a laugh and a no so I'm guessing not the best in customer service

The staff makes all the difference. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Its great having someone to load bags of birdseed and mulch into the truck.

So happy to be able to get my same supplies for my pets this close to home. Friendly staff and really take the time to make sure you get what you need. For sure will be making this one of the first places to get what I need.

I've been an extremely loyal customer for many years however over the past 1.5 yrs or so there has been a major issue with communication an store cleanliness, special orders way too many false promises.There is a new freezer in the Farmington Location because I personally worked with Jeff in the Victor HQ for years attempting to get Stella & Chewy;'s Raw dog food in the store. It's the only product that my boxer is able to consume due to his medical issues and allergies.With the understanding that this brand is Top of the line and in high demand I wanted to be assured that I could get 4 bags ever other week. Because well my box is 75lbs he goes thru 2 bags a week. Unfortunately this was a false promise. Apparently people are returning open bags of raw food but the employees are putting them BACK IN THE FREEZER TO BE SOLD.That's an FDA violation. Open RAW food should NEVER be placed back on store shelves to be purchased!!! I've had to return 3 bags that were opened and 2 that have been EXPIRED. And every single time the stock number has been off so the JEFF does order more when the store is OUT OF STOCK because INVENTORY is NOT CORRECT! Which is also why I am NOT getting MY BOXERS Food after 2 YRS of waiting for the freezer. HONESTLY THIS STORE NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER. I'm SO FUMEN ANGRY this NOT ACCEPTABLE SERVICE!!! When Meg managed this department she had it together. The Product was ordered she called to let us know it arrived and ours was on hold and we could pick it up at our convenience.I've had numerous discussions with Jordan, Brett, and Mary but for what ever reason the act of getting food set aside and a call is beyond the level of customer service they are willing to provide. I am now searching for another option because clearly this staff cannot be trusted!

I had always had good service at CountryMax until recently. Part of the issue they had no control over, part of it they did. Without going into detail about the issues, I was very happy the way Brad Payne of CountyMax took care of the problem. Although I wasn't pleased that a problem developed, I am very happy how it was resolved. I will continue to use CountryMax as my go to store for my hobby farm.

Don't buy fish from here, all they do is die! I went thru multiple purchases of fish that all died within days of bringing them home.
