I am totally shocked by the way I was spoken to and treated by a deli clerk ( an older, heavyset man). There was no one at the deli counter and I took my number. There was three deli clerks all working obviously filling other people’s orders. I stood at the counter waiting to be called, my adult daughter who is at the cheesecake right behind me, she wanted to show me something so I walked over to the cheese case where she was. I selected the cheeses and she was put in the cart I walked back to the deli counter again to wait my turn to be called. This man is going to say to me “ we know you’re here, you don’t need to keep walking up to this counter we will call you when we’re ready.” I was honestly just waiting for my number to be cold very patiently. Unfortunately for me he was the one that called my number. “What do you want sweetie?” ( cringe) I ordered three different types of cold cuts. When one of the cold cuts I ordered was not directly behind him in the case he got annoyed that he had to go to the back to get it. The lovely deli clerk that was working next to him looked at me and said I have it here I will cut that for you. When he returned I motioned to the other clerk and said she got that. He looked at me and said “ you made me go back there for nothing.” The lovely deli clerk looked at me I looked at her, she apologized and I responded he must be having a bad day. He proceeds to get all aggressive telling me “ i’m not having a bad day sweetie.” Who works with the public in a service based industry and talks like that?!?! Everyone wants to blame the youth, the silent quitters, this was a grown man and I know for a fact he has a 24-year-old daughter. I’m done with Stop & Shop!!

I couldn't be more pleased with the service my family receives here. Kristen and Andrew always go above and beyond as does the rest of the pharmacy staff. They all deserve a raise!

I was not hurt and stolen items were found. However the attitude I was given was get over it.

I really don't understand all the bad reviews. This is my go-to grocery store in Farmingdale. Everyone who I've encountered who works here has been amazing. When I do self check out, before I even get to it all my groceries are bagged. It's a very clean store and they almost always have what I need!

I shop here as it's in my neighborhood. Forget the deli counter. Usually has half a dozen employees working but only one - very very slow - person helping all customers standing and waiting. The slicing machines are filthy. I suppose the other employees are working on pea pod orders. The specials advertised are always somewhere in the back - where the employee disappears for about 10 minutes. What's up with that! The cashiers by the way also ring up the wrong price so check your receipt.

The rudest and laziest customer service employee! I was at the self checkout by the customer service desk. I had trouble with the checkout. The computer froze so I requested assistance. The woman ignored me and refused to assist me. I left the line, loudly proclaiming her lack of assistance and went to another line with a " real helpful human being ". I explained to that woman, who, by the way was helpful and nice. I told her what a j*** the woman at the Customer Service Desk was. As I left the woman passed me and headed towards the register that I had left, to find out what I said about her. As she passed, I sarcastically, THANKED HER FOR ALL HER HELP.. I will be back! Not because I like the store but because I live close by and I will now make it my business to seek her out and require her assistance EVERY TIME!

They never have enough registers open ever!! Every time I go they have one or two open with long lines. They want you to check out yourself is my guess.
