Brought in a turntable for some solder work. The guy at the counter touched the stylus and proclaimed the needle was dull and should be replaced too. Also brought in some speakers with blown tweeters. Was told over the phone that the tech is out on a call but will be right back and if I bring em in he might be able to fix em right away before starting on another project. After dropping off the equipment which of course couldn't be worked on for a few days I noticed a coupon on their website. I called back 5 min later and was told sorry we can't honor it since you already agreed to the estimate. A week later no call as promised. Called again oh you've got a bad cap on your crossovers but good news that's an easy fix. Do need tweeters though and good news again there are upgraded ones now available. Yeah these new upgraded factory tweeters (that don't exist) cost more than the speakers new. I told them to hold off and raced over to pick up my stuff. My speakers were in a back corner and only the tweeters had been removed. The crossovers were still buried deep in the cabinets untouched and my turntable was still in disrepair. I asked about the tweeters one last time before requesting my equipment back and was told they'd have to find used ones since new ones are no longer available and that's why nothing was fixed.

They did a great job fixing my B&K Reference 50 S2 and communication was great. They apparently have all the stock of parts that was left when B&K went out of business and even updated my firmware with the very latest that had come out before B&K went kaput. I was very disappointed to find out that Stargate is now closed forever. It was the last hope for keeping those incredible B&K products going.

Above and beyond!!!! Super super nice lady Diana spoke to me on phone. Really went above and beyond. Same with the owner. They didn’t have to give me the time of day and they helped me fix a problem at no profit to them! They got my business when I need something done there the ones I’m calling.

He knows B&K equipment. He did a masterful job repairing my B&K AVR 505v2. He also worked on my REL Subwoofer. I would use his services again.

Steve is the best at what he does. Walked in with my Cdj 2000s he opened them up and said we need some major work. He made them brand new for a great price and redid the whole inside. Well worth the turnaround wait and him being honest about everything. Spiro
