I am totally shocked by the way I was spoken to and treated by a deli clerk ( an older, heavyset man). There was no one at the deli counter and I took my number. There was three deli clerks all working obviously filling other people’s orders. I stood at the counter waiting to be called, my adult daughter who is at the cheesecake right behind me, she wanted to show me something so I walked over to the cheese case where she was. I selected the cheeses and she was put in the cart I walked back to the deli counter again to wait my turn to be called. This man is going to say to me “ we know you’re here, you don’t need to keep walking up to this counter we will call you when we’re ready.” I was honestly just waiting for my number to be cold very patiently. Unfortunately for me he was the one that called my number. “What do you want sweetie?” ( cringe) I ordered three different types of cold cuts. When one of the cold cuts I ordered was not directly behind him in the case he got annoyed that he had to go to the back to get it. The lovely deli clerk that was working next to him looked at me and said I have it here I will cut that for you. When he returned I motioned to the other clerk and said she got that. He looked at me and said “ you made me go back there for nothing.” The lovely deli clerk looked at me I looked at her, she apologized and I responded he must be having a bad day. He proceeds to get all aggressive telling me “ i’m not having a bad day sweetie.” Who works with the public in a service based industry and talks like that?!?! Everyone wants to blame the youth, the silent quitters, this was a grown man and I know for a fact he has a 24-year-old daughter. I’m done with Stop & Shop!!

yep it's a grocery store. expensive af lately but if u need grocery's they have it. I don't know if this particular store is trying to rip off their shoppers but i have not had this issue with any other s&s. For the last three trips to this store, each time the sales price did not come up at checkout. All different products. To top it off, the attendant made it known he was annoyed when he had to walk back to check the price. I get that this is one of the last stores to be upgraded but it sure seems like you are trying to pull one over on your shoppers. How many hundreds if not thousands in savings did you pocket? I will avoid this store from now on. Shame on you

Disappointed. While I was in the store there were opened containers in the cheese aisle as if someone ate it and placed it back. This one is moldy. Shameful. On top of this I got spoken to by a very nasty employee, I asked where I could find household cleaners and I was told "you can actually read the signs in the aisles and figure it out"...the audacity!!! I'm nearly blind THATS WHY I ASKED YOU!!!!!!! Been a long time customer. Never again

After an unbelievably bad experience in the Levittown store earlier that day I tried to find a new product here as the product's web site said S&Ss on Long Island were carrying their products. Feeling bad about such a dismal review of the other store I must at least say THIS one is better! No they STILL didn't seem to have my 'vegan tuna' & there STILL was no where to look it up...this store didn't even have the 'sham' customer service counter Levittown had! It did have a clearly marked & fairly well stocked 'organic, natural, health' food area though there was no refrigerated/freezer area like BOTH Amityville & Seaford. My extensive comments on S&S's lack of ability to give service to it's customers @ any sort of reasonable expectation & it's seemingly 'looming' demise still apply here! BUT & it's a BIG one THIS is the FIRST S&S I have been to in years that had sufficient working cashiers that checkout was a BREEZE & THAT is worth @ least 2 stars!

Honestly will never come back to this stop and shop again. The lady at check out said they are having issues with the scan it guns the past couple of days... but there was no sign on the scan it guns saying out of order.... she picked me out because of the way I looked... Thinking I couldn't afford the things I was buying because of my appearance... she took me to a separate lane and made me unbag all my items so she could rescan them. And my total came out to 30 dollars more than expected because she didn't even scan my stop and shop card... I saw other stop and shop patrons check out with the scan it gun before me and after me. This isn't the first problem I've had issues with this stop and shop. I've seen moldy produce here. I've gotten meat and then when I went to cook it same day it had a sour smell. Such an inconvenience. Don't offer a service if you can't fulfill it.

So I just showed up at Stop & Shop a little while ago and I don’t like to write reviews. I've never had an issue with this store until today. We bought meat from here yesterday and were told they could not give us an exchange because of their new policy. I spoke with the manager, Tiffany who advised I should keep the package and wait until further notice until their policy changes. 1.The fact that they say to hold on to the package or barcode of stinky bad meat they sold to us is disgusting and I'm appalled. 2. There is no reason why we should not be able to exhange bad meat the store sold to us only just yesterday. It is their responsibility and it's disgusting behavior.
