Not sure what's going on at Lidl Farmingdale. The produce is usually wilted or spoiled even when the expiration date is for 1 week ahead. The store always looks like it was looted no matter what time of day you go. They need a new store manager for sure or close it.

I shop here every week and always find what I need. The produce section is fresh and well-stocked, and the prices are very reasonable compared to other stores in the area. The staff are friendly and helpful, and checkout is usually quick. I especially love their weekly deals and specialty items from local vendors. Highly recommend!

They had A whole cart full of sad almost dead plants. I asked the cashier, Do you guys sell these plants for less? She answered very cold and with with a mad look on her face “those are garbage” I asked, do you mind if I take one ? She looked at me and very rude she said NOOOO you can’t if you do id have to charge you for it. The cart was ready to be taken to the garbage. Not that im looking for free stuff but she could had been nicer about it and just tell me she wasn’t allowed to give them out instead of being so sarcastic and giving the nastiest look. This was at just 9:30am. I can’t imagine how bad their mood is when they start getting hungry .

I don’t understand it. When we were in Europe, I made a point to visit several LIDL stores — about five across different countries — and every single one was pristine. Each store was presented like something out of a magazine: spotless floors, perfectly organized aisles, and a sense of pride in every detail.
Back home, I shop at my local LIDL in Farmingdale almost every day, sometimes more than once, because I genuinely love the European imports and specialty products that no other store carries. That should be your only focus as far as I'm concerned as there are plenty of other stores nearby that brand loyalists can shop at. However, the condition of this location is grossly neglected. The displays are poorly arranged and never leveled out, aisles and shelves are cluttered with empty boxes. The entry doors look like they’ve never been cleaned since the store opened, and the windows are covered with laminated film that, while not meant to hide the grime, certainly makes it less noticeable. Some refrigeration units leak.
It’s clear the staff are doing their best — they always seem busy and stressed — but the overall environment feels chaotic and overlooked. I suspect much of this stems from a disconnect between corporate leadership and what’s actually happening at the store level, which unfortunately is a common challenge for many companies and organizations, not just LIDL.
I sometimes visit the nearby ALDI, and the difference is striking. That store’s cleanliness, organization, and atmosphere feel much closer to what I experienced in Europe. I know LIDL is capable of the same excellence, and I desperately want this store to succeed. I believe this community would rally around a store that reflects the same care and quality seen abroad.
Please, consider the overall shopping experience. The residents of Farmingdale deserve better, and so do the employees and customers.

Lidl store in Farmingdale review- small but I can always find the items I need. Cashiers are all very rude. None of them smile or even make eye contact; one of them is extra nasty towards patrons (older white lady) & always seems to have the most shifts. She was huffing/puffing at an elderly man trying to get his money together to pay for the 1 item he purchased. Then she made an exasperated face towards the next customer...seeking validation for her unprofessional attitude I guess. Disgraceful. Maybe work restocking items if an elderly customer getting his money together annoys you to this absurd degree?
