Dr. Ruggiero is amazing. Shows so much love and compassion for animals. I truly feel that, to her, this business is so much more than the bottom line. The front desk staff is very friendly and the costs are reasonable. Place is clean and comfortable. They also have other services, like grooming.

I brought my cat in because he was not eating as usual and seemed listless. He had a cut on his side and I thought it may have gotten infected. I did not have an appointment but the booking assistant squeezed me in and I did not wait long at all. The Dr and her assistant were very kind and thoroughly examined my buddy and did not find any infection or anything seriously wrong but they cleaned the cut and gave him a shot for arthritis (which worked well) - he can now jump up on the bed again! I am very very pleased with this vet and highly recommend them to other pet lovers.

The best vets in Rockaway. Really care for the animals . Always answer all questions u may have . Not a rip-off. Love their service.

Is not an efficient office. Had an appt and waited an hour to be seen. Don't they know that parking in the front could get you a ticket. If they're running behind they could call and let you know. Everyone is nice though, but their timing needs improvement.

The veterinarians are gentle and care for my dog, last visit was an emergency and they took care of us almost instantly!! Definitely a trusted place to care for my pet. Thanks RBVS!!

I feel fortunate that the veterinary welfare of my Cairn Terrier is in the hands of Rockaway Beach Veterinary Services. I couldn't be more appreciative of and satisfied with the care that he gets there. Clearly my dog feels the same, he absolutely loves going to the Vet.

Rockaway Beach Veterinary Services came highly recommended by several friends. Dr. Ruggiero was incredibly kind and patient with my Shih Tzu, Butch. His initial visit was thorough and we weren't rushed. I was concerned about a lump on his chest and decided to bring him back to have it tested. Thankfully everything turned out fine and I couldn't be happier with this practice! I appreciate Dr. Ruggiero and the staff taking such good care of him.

Since welcoming two 7 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniels into our home, the help and service of Rockaway Beach Veterinary Services has been incredible. Whether on the phone or in person everyone on the staff has been welcoming, understanding, and very knowledgeable. I felt comfortable from the first phone call and visit and both Liam and Diego were calm and relaxed throughout their check ups. It will definitely be an important part of the lives of our dogs!

The vets are great, receptionists can be a bit rude, depending on who is answering on the phone. They also always have you on hold and they don't really listen to what you're asking for either. It takes me a couple of tries and explaining which can be frustrating especially when my babies are sick.The prices vary. But I got my dog spayed there and also had mastectomy. Overall it was over $2k and when I asked about insurance they were lost.I would think that they would know about insurance and which is the best to ensure pet care and their owners don't pay out of pocket but, to each their own.There's not really any parking outside. I highly suggest asking for prices before getting anything done because I was definitely blindsided with the prices.

My introduction to RBVH sadly started with my attempt to evaluate what was wrong with my cat. I 200% appreciated that they could determine what the issue was but if anything further was being considered, I needed to go to the place in Forest Hills. I did in fact go there but had to say my goodbyes to Jinx. I always appreciated Dr.Sarter’s honesty and care. A few weeks later I just went straight to Forest Hills with Otis knowing he was ready and because of Dr. Sarner’s previous advice. A few weeks after that, I was in Italy about to step on the ramp of our ship when I received a call from my very good friends Lisa & Connie advising me that Sugar, my 16yo cat (aka Benjamin Button) was not doing well. The doctor would not proceed without speaking to me so Dr. Hollander explained the situation and with a very heavy heart but total trust in my friend, I had to let her go from a long way off. Dr H was courteous, professional and understanding. So now down to Troy, my 17yo last man standing is seen by Dr. Weinstock. Aside from her professionalism, manners and understanding patient AND owner issues, I think he feels her care & connection. I look forward to one day meeting Dr. Ruggiero so I can thank her & Hollander for maintaining a staff that always seems upbeat and happy to see their patients and I like to believe Troy is one of them. No question asked…if you need one, this is where to go. Your animal with thank you!By the way, my cats’ treatment was/is not gauged by doctors only, that front staff is on point on every way.Thanks to all! Troy & Mom

Shakespeare, our 3y/o 17lb yorkie just had a DENTAL CLEANING Were Very happy from front desk to vet techs- and DR.RUGGIERIO...before we made decision, we went to see her for consult..we were satisfied- had the pre-op check up n labs Then booked DENTAL CLEANING. and believe me, I did my research...I checked out past vets, friends vets.. EtC..some I checked were Bond vet many locations..NYC included plus kids Bay n Murray Hill vets Howard Beach Vet,juniper vets Middletown in Bx vets... HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. RUGGIERIO...BIG THANK U, MRS CASEY
