Incredible place..... impressive selection. The attention to detail in the organization of everything is amazing. The group of volunteers that run it are obviously committed to their cause. We got everything we needed for an electrical project plus some other handy odds and ends. We'll definitely be returning.

Do you fancy yourself handy? Perhaps you enjoy a good well loved tool, or are a purveyor of antiquities. Look no further because the Tool Thrift Shop has you covered. Nestled in the plaza near the Fairport Library is this gem of a store. Inside you'll find an array of used tools and household essentials (bulbs, fixtures, hand tools, power tools, new old stock). Everything in there is accessibly priced and the stock is changing on a weekly basis. Imagine going to Goodwill except if it catered to Home Depot enthusiasts. Whether you're just getting started or if you're looking to expand on your collection, this is certainly the place to go.

No one ever answers emails and the website does not show any of the inventory. The times I've been there, the staff certainly wasn't overwhelmed with customers so taking/posting pictures or answering emails shouldn't be difficult (of course that would interfere with fooling around with the cell phone). I would shop here more often, but I live too far away to take a trip for nothing.

Great Place, friendly people. Wonderful cause. I stop into the store every time I come into town. Many interesting items inside. I bring an extra suit case you never know what you might find! ?????

I love the Tool Thrift Shop . There's no telling what I'll find here. When I'm looking for tools and hardware, I stop here before going to a traditional store. Even if I don't find what I'm looking for, I usually find things I'll need for another project. To top it all off, the prices are a small fraction of retail.

While shopping with a friend and our kids I was blatantly told it was not a place for children. They weren't misbehaving and touching everything so they were doing no harm. This was my first time in and it will definitely make me rethink going back and giving my business to them.

This place is such a great find right in the village of Fairport. They have a medium sized space that they do A LOT with. It's well organized for the amount of tools and other stuff they have to display. They've got everything from door hardware to compressors, table saws and lawnmowers so if you're in the mood to just walk around and look for things you might need at your home shop, this is the spot to come! (My dad and I walked around for a bit and found quite a few things we "needed")... The shop is run on a donation basis and the "employees" are all friendly volunteers. Profits support services provided by Senior Options for Independence (SOFI). SOFI provides care management and transportation services for seniors living independently in the Fairport/Perinton community.

When I visit family in upstate NY, routinely go to Tool Thrift Shop and find unique tools for woodworking. A fun toy store for craft minded woodworkers.

First, disclosure: I volunteer at this non -profit store. It is a great source for common and uncommon tools and supplies at excellent prices. My personal shop is equipped in a way I could never afford without the Tool Thrift Shop. Our volunteers have a wide variety of experience, and enjoy helping people with their projects and tool purchases.

Amazing place that EVERY CITY should have - a place to donate and buy tools, household repair things, etc.; instead of throwing them into the landfill. Also, the proceeds help seniors stay in their homes!!It is all volunteer run by a local church ministry and many of the volunteers are seasoned, retired engineers and craftsmen who are super friendly and - THEY ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!!I have to limit my visits because for me, it's like being a kid in a candy store. BTW, the prices are great. Go here first before a big box store!!Help the environment, get good advice and quality tools at a great price and HELP SENIORS!! Win, win, win!
