Spectacular service! Friendly, professional staff. Accommodating. Not too costly. Took care of my hedgehogs physical check-up and nail clipping in minutes. Will definitely bring Quillo back there for all his future vet needs.

I'm leaving this review for my experience with them today and I am NOT EVEN A CLIENT. They showed me to be the exact opposite of some other animal hospitals that care only about money and not for the animals. These people showed a HUGE heart for all animals when a girl recommended I asked them if they would help an injured bird that had a broken wing. he was sitting in my yard at the base of my tree obviously injured in one of his wings, but not injured enough for it to be fatal. after asking the "animal help now" website, someone finally told me that Fairport Animal Hospital has a wildlife vet and would be the only place that MIGHT help. when I called them they were most gracious, and showed tremendous kindness and compassion by saying they would let me bring the poor thing in! God bless these people who are truly the right kind of people you want working with all animals! I am so grateful to them, thanks once again

Such caring staff and doctors. We've been going here for over 40 years for all of our birds, cats, and dogs. Dr. Hall is amazing and so dedicated. We just recently nearly lost our precious 9 year old dog to a mysterious illness, and they were able to bring her back from the brink. We are so grateful for everyone at Fairport Animal Hospital for their kindness, dedication, and knowledge. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

I recently had to take in one of my parakeets to see Dr. Hall. Unfortunately, our sweet bird was very ill and had been hiding his illness up until it was too late for intervention. Dr. Hall was compassionate and walked us through some options for care. The staff is very friendly at this facility and we typically have luck with getting our pets to be seen. I would recommend Dr. Hall for any avian care. We miss our sweet bird so much but feel comfort in knowing that we tried everything we could. Birds are very smart and can hide how they're feeling for a long time. Thank you Dr. Hall for helping us through this process.

Word of mouth, and from experience this is an absolute scam of an animal hospital to milk every dollar from your pocket and to keep your animals sick and traumatized. I don’t know how it’s taken this long to leave a review but DO NOT GO HERE. This place has tons of 1 star reviews for a reason. Do not go here, don’t see Brian!

What happened to vets where they have no compassion?
I can go into details but why bother. People will continue to go to these vets and post great reviews but no one ever posts their failures.
I can say that when they say they do blood tests they dont. If they do they don't read them

Dr. Ortez is a human being. That is not always a statement that goes with the title of a Vet or a Doctor. I highly recommend her for her compassionate heart that never became jaded with time.
On the other paw, when my dog passed, the paw print I got from the service cremating him was not of my dog. Smaller and narrow print. I know my dog very well having had him for 11 years. It is sad to realize that these places have a monopoly on such a service. In any case, he is with God and in a better place I hope.
In all, I will continue to trust Dr. Ortez with my animals and suggest you do the same. There are fewer vets these days and most hospitals have been bought out by conglomerates. This is a bad situation blamed on Covid and that my friends, is just an excuse for greed. Good luck to all animals and animal friends out there!

Very rude and poor service. Dr Hall was supposed to call us with results of Ultra sound on our dog- possible cancer. Dr Hall never called, even after we were promised he would call. I had to go to vet's office next day to find out results. Dr Hall said were demanding- because we wanted to know results of our loved one. Jena is awful- very unprofessional and rude. I would never want to know her in any way, ket alone take of my pet. I do not recommend them.

Brian hall is the only one that specializes in teeth cleaning and dentistry there. I took my dog in October for an eval and schedule teeth cleaning. I told the secretary I knew that his vaccines were due in 4 months and I would make another appointment for that I like to split them up so he doesn't get hit all at once. This was strictly for his teeth. Brian hall admits on paper work he evaluated his teeth with his muzzle on. He was more worried about giving him combo vaccines which he gave without my knowledge because he took my dog in back during his exam and gave them to him. He was due for a heartworm test which they didn't care to do the secretary said I didn't ask so they didn't bring it up but again, having no issues giving multiple vaccines. I took him to another vet Brian (you don't deserve to be called a Dr) and they cleaned his teeth and did X-rays which showed his entire mouth but 4 teeth all have root resorption. I have a picture of the X-rays. Along with before and after pictures of the cleaning. My dog will need teeth pulled down the line soon. The secretary proceeded to tell me that at that time my dog didn't need his teeth cleaned and they must've gotten bad during a 6 month time frame they lied to try and cover their ass. His teeth are like night and day now visually after his cleaning today. What the vet found today is extremely rare in dogs and they don't know the cause they are now monitoring him due to the shape it's in. Due to your lack of care by me bringing his teeth to your attention and you denying that I had to find out from a better vet. I understand there's no way for you to see this without doing X-rays but you denied my dog that care all together when he now needs yearly cleanings to keep up with this root issue thats effecting his entire mouth if didn't take him to another vet. You displayed nothing but carelessness and incompetent treatment which is neglect. You need to retire or stick to your little lizards and reptiles. Please do NOT take your dogs here PLEASE. He will try to steal years. You don't deserve your license. The office is trying to cover this up as well because they know they made a huge mess up his wife Jean is the office manager in case you guys ever call and she answers

I brought my hedgehog here. I received the news that she was reaching the end of her life, the staff were very kind and reassured me that I did a good job taking care of her and it’s just her time to go. She passed away peacefully three days later. If I get another pet in the future, I will use this vet again.

I called during the afternoon to get my rabbit in as a new client and possibly emergency appointment. They said I could call back at 8am to see if there’s any openings. I called the next morning and they got us in right away. The staff and Dr. Hall were all very nice. My rabbit can be pretty squirmy, but Dr. Hall handled him very well. I also thought the pricing was very fair. Thank you, FAH!
