I am selective about who/what I review and just realized I never wrote one for Sato Auto Repair. I've had many cars and used to take them to the dealers for service, especially since the dealers wash your car (admittedly a poor reason.) However, since I found Sato's Auto Repair, I take my cars to Mr. Sato. This is the most competent, reasonably priced, good service, honest car repair shop I've ever found and I trust them 100%. It's a little hard to find on Route 9A and very easy to miss, but once you know where it's located, it's easy. I highly recommend Sato's.

We have taken our cars to Sato Auto for over 25 years. They are honest, reliable, patient and reasonably priced. I recommend them to anyone.

Mr. Sato is so patient, transparent, and helpful. Having a conversation with him, he takes the time to explain, give recommendations, but never upsells or pressures you. Most important, the work his team has done on my 2009 Honda, including most recently replacing the starter and water pump has been perfect. Highly recommend.

Got a P0300 engine light problem with my 2013 Subaru WRX. Tried different mechanics but they were unable to resolve the problem. I took my car to SATO auto repair, I was ready that my car will stay there for few days since its difficult to resolve. Shigeo explained it clearly that my case is unsual and what needs to be done. Price is reasonable. Finally there were able to resolve my engine problem and i was able to renew my yearly NY car inspection
My advise if you feel your car needs a lot of work. Give them a call ahead of time/set an appointment, and be patient. They will resolve the your car issue.

Sato, best mechanic for Japanese cars. Mr. Sato, there is no problem he cannot fix. Took care of my electrical issue that another shop had hard time figuring the fix.

Sato Auto Repair has earned us as customers for life. They worked on both of our Subarus. The family and their crew are hard working, transparent, honest, educating, accommodating, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I am so pleased with their service and I have never said that about any auto repair shop.
