I went to paws crossed very recently. Initially the experience was great. We were able to see the entire collection of cats/dogs they had there after completing an application. Sue and another girl who’s name I can’t remember but had green hair were more then helpful, polite and friendly. They did everything they could to help get me approved as soon as possible and on the spot. Now the adoption process is on a first come first serve basis, which is well understood. After selecting a cat of our preference we stood in the room waiting with this particular cat. We were told that we could wait in the room with him as our application was getting processed. Here is where things took a turn. We were essentially kicked out of the room by Temist. We were told the cat was overwhelmed and uncomfortable, mind you the cat was purring with us and sleeping with us, but we did as were told and left the room. We then scrambled to get references on the phone (no more then 5-10 minutes). As we’re on the phone with references we were again told by Temist that the cat now belonged to somebody else. Again, I understand first come first serve basis and maybe our application was not submitted before someone else’s. Now I work in a profession where giving tough news to people is all about delivery. The conversation went something like “hey are you interested in “this cat”, to which the answer was yes. Then a two hand slap to the table and a point to another family and a “well they are going with someone else”. A simple sorry, however someone else’s application was processed before yours would have been more then enough. I want to reiterate that the issue is not with the news, more so the delivery of this news. I also again want to highlight the people that did help us, as they were understanding and helpful so HUGE thank you to those individuals. Unfortunately, I would not go back to be adopting here. I, in no way, want to discourage anybody from adopting, but I do want to express my experience here.

Excited to see the Newly minted Renovation. Same runs for the Dogsonly change was at the RegistrationArea. Dissapointed they couldnt addHeat or A/C. Trying to find a smaller dog then they had, no one approached us the whole time we were there to get our Feedback.

Amazing place to adopt. The staff are warm, friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell how much they care for all of the dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. The whole facility is sparkling clean. They went over all of the information on best practices in transitioning your new family member(s), and are very willing to answer all questions. We adopted Benson and Captain and love them so much already. Definitely come to Paws Crossed Animal Rescue.

It was a cold day. Dogs were inside and the staff would only let us see which dogs they had via their website. I can do that on my own thanks. Not a very welcoming place. Apparently they are in no rush to have their dogs adopted. I rather go elsewhere.

I would leave a 0 if possible. They waste peoples time. Emailed them the details of my pet and set up any appointment. Missed work and when I got there the vet said they couldn’t see my pet due to their age but the age was in the email. Can’t even read English these people, go elsewhere

Paws Crossed Animal Shelter provides a remarkably clean and inviting environment. The facility's well-maintained spaces reflect their commitment to animal welfare and the staff is consistently welcoming, creating a positive atmosphere for potential adopters. I adopted two cats from Paws Crossed (one year apart), and the entire process was always so smooth and enjoyable. It's evident that the shelter prioritizes the well-being of both animals and adopters. Highly recommended for those seeking a caring and friendly environment to find their new furry companions!
