“The car was fine and priced reasonably. I had rated Enterprise three stars because of a couple of issues described below. But when I returned the car, the service was so great and the guy was so nice that I added a star.
The two issues (neither of which the local guy has any control over):
1. You can't get the local office on the phone. Call and call, go through menus, hold and hold, eventually give up.
2. I like small cars and they no longer rent subcompacts. The smallest car feels huge to me. (Corollas and Versas, so probably not to others.)”
“It's strange that i see a lot of complaints on customer service but my experience for the past 3 months I've been renting is completely different. Gina and her team are an absolute pleasure to work with. Yes, sometimes the responses could be curt but they always anticipate my needs and questions and always offer alternative solutions if required.
They are also very proactive and i have received calls ahead of time to remind me of drop offs especially during the weekend where i was not aware of timing of business closing hours. This definitely saved me money in penalties.”

“I'm really like renting from budget and in most cases the cars are great and service fantastic. This time there were two issues, the inside windshield had some kind of greasy film which we didn't realize until it started to get dark. The other issue was no windshield washer fluid.”

“Last time I rented from this location, I got a large SUV as I was transporting a few larger items to NYC. I got the car in the evening and was planning to drive to the city early morning ( I was returning the car in a different location). In the following morning as I was driving to the city, one of the tire sensors was signaling there is something wrong with the tire.I stopped and checked and to me it looked like it might be because of low pressure. Total trip that I drove was max 20 miles. As I was returning the car to location 220 W 31st St I did not have a chance to mention the tire sensor thing. Besides, sensor stopped flashing so I assumed everything is ok. To my surprise, one month later I received a letter claiming there was an issue with the tire and I caused it. Ended up getting charged $90 for it.Being Avis customer for years, very disappointed with how I was blamed for something I definitely have not caused. When asked for the evidence and pictures of the damage, I was told they are not required to provide any photos. To me, looks like Avis can charge their clients for whatever issues they want even months later and are not required to provide any documentation. I strongly advice reconsidering renting from Avis.[Edit]: Avis team reached out and my case was re-reviewed. Additional charge got reverted. Appreciate Avis' team help with resolving this. Bumping to 4 ⭐ as my previous experience renting from that location was rather positive.”

“Due to the chaos of a holiday weekend, they did not have the car we reserved but promptly put us in something else that worked out great. Jessie was helpful, cool, and had a great welcoming vibe throughout the whole process which was less than 10 minutes between arriving and driving off. The attached service station also has a free-to-use air compressor, which is a subtle but really thoughtful touch. Jessie is the man, and we had a great experience at this location. Thanks y’all!”

189 Tarrytown Rd, White Plains“I have 4 old apartment buildings in Westchester County NY. After converting all to gas I needed to remove the oil tanks, but it took me 7 years to get it done. Barrier got rid of a tank in a basement in one location and in the last 2 days they removed 3 underground tanks that had been in the ground for 80 to 100 years. This was in one location on three adjacent houses. Two 550 gallon tanks were removed and one 1000 gallon tank was left in the ground and emptied. At that point they opened the bottom of the tank and soil samples were removed and tested. The inspector observed that there was no soil contamination. These are professional people who have been doing this for a long time. They handled the town inspection process, got the soil samples tested and took away the 2 tanks, filled in the holes and swept up the area. I recommend Barrier without reservation.”

“I both dropped off a car from here and then later picked up a car from here. Both times, the transactions were relatively quick and fuss-free. They don't have many cars at this location but it is very convenient to me because I can access Metro North before or after renting. Both cars were clean and full of gas and paperwork was processed quickly. The Budget (and Avis) counter is on the same level as the Metro ticket counters, just across the way past the bus area.”
“I have traveled to France every year for the past 30-40 years; I have now used Renault Eurodrive the last 25 years or so, as I have grown extremely satisfied with the service. Making a reservation is easy; once arrived in France, getting to the airport location is a phone call away. The price is right and includes insurance coverage; there are no surprises.”
