This was our first experience shipping household goods overseas and it couldn't have been easier or better. From the moment we started discussing this with ISAS to the next major step of working with Just Move in Ireland, we were hand-held every step of the way, from documentation to scheduling. When we reached out, they would all answer day or night, to our questions. When our personal dates changed and we had to inquire about storage of our goods for a month or so - that also was a breeze! It was done, we agreed to a delivery date, the lads were amazing to bring our goods to us in just as solid and good a shape as when we put them on the container in the US. Wow, we have never been so pleased with a group of people and their services from Day One to the final Day. Thank you so very much for your efforts on our behalf!

From start to finish, working with Sea & Air, as well as their affliate Schmidt was a great experience! They answered every phone call and email promptly, and kept me up to date on the status of my shipment. The drivers had no problem - even with the challenging one lane roads of Ireland. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a move across the pond.

I first got a misquote which was much less than the correct one. The quote was based on a certain cubic ft. Once it was palletted the charge went up by $1200 . I have made 4 overseas moves and this has never happened before. I negotiated a $ 500 adjustment . I was also told that the only other fees I would incur on the other end were the import fees. Wrong again. I had to pay another $800 for destination handling fees. Funny, with the currency exchange it was nearly the amount that 2asadjusted. . Again, this has never happened before . Those fee were always included with the original quote. They been in the business for 20 years so they know all the tricks,.
On the the end, they were always very polite but never seemed to know what was going on. I got different information each time I made an enquiry. It took 8 weeks from the time the boat landed for me to get my stuff. Im still lwaiting for a item that Customs pulled but than cleared. They forgot to put it back in my shipment and they're telling me I have to wait until they have a truck coming this way. They should be sending it Express post.
Whatever you do choose another company.
Reply to your response. As I said youve had 20 years to come up with all the answers. Never experienced anynof this with any orher transport company .

Totally dissatisfied with the company. Added on all kinds of fees, the cost of which were not disclosed in the contract. I'm pretty sure a half way decent consumer lawyer could have the contract ruled unconscionable under the UCC.
Response: The delivery firm in Europe was given several ways to reach my representative in Spain. Apparently, they tried to make a phone call ignoring the email and company name that was provided, didn't get an answer, and left. My representative in Spain said he was never contacted. So far this move has cost twice the estimate with all of the added expenses coming after the goods were collected by the movers. I repeat, be aware of this company and Schmidt Global, their agent in Europe.
Update: The goods finally arrived in Spain -- two months after promised and items broken. Find an honest and competent mover if you have things going overseas. You have been warned.

Excellent moving company. Everything was loaded up in a timely manner with care and precision. Always on time as communicated. Men were polite and helpful. Our household made it from American SW to rural France in 6 weeks They are top notch!

I have done multiple trans-atlantic moves and this was by far the worst. Communication was great until I paid the deposit, then it went downhill really fast. There was zero communication and explanation, they just sent me some forms to fill. When I put in a "Desired delivery date" 8 weeks after the agreed upon moving date, no one contacted me. One (!) day before the moving out date I reached out if all was good, and they told me "Oh, you put in desired delivery date XX, so we will not pick up your stuff for the next 6 weeks". I managed to get my stuff picked up within some days, still havent received it at the final destination as the ship is "delayed by 3 weeks" and no one takes responsibility for all this, so the customer end up bearing all the risk. I would never take this company again. Once you pay, they dont care. I always have to reach out, just to figure out that something is "unfortnately delayed".

Scary to entrust everything we own to anyone, but the experience could not have gone better! We shipped our belongings from NYC to France without a problem. Everything arrived in great condition and the process was very polished and professional from start to finish.
