The security guard who is the man with beards keeps standing and starring at me when choosing and comparing products! Of course, it's more than 3 times already with the same guy! He might dislike my face somehow? or Do I look like a thief? HaHaHa ? Okay ! ? Next time CVS for sure, no more Walgreens here ? nasty ? P.S. some young lady staff (not all) at check out is so rude ?

Everything’s already overpriced, only one person at the register with over 20 costumers waiting to be checked out. Don’t get me start on getting things from lock shelves!!! Surely this stores makes enough money to hire people that efficiently smh !!

Past three decades. They still have not improved their checkout register. Yes you heard me correct, for past 30 years this Walgreens location have not yet fixed their long waiting line issue. Even before the digital stuff. I remember back in late 00s and early 2010s the staff back then was better. But now it’s the same old problem, not that it was noticeably improve. They just had a better staff for a few years back in late 00s and early 10s but the problems was still there. Since that Duane Reade on the corner of Pettit Ave and Broadway been closed, people in this area been going to this Walgreens and yet they still have not improved their long queue.
Now it’s worse because the products are locked due to this current dystopian era we are in. So when you press the button and wait for the staff to come unlock the shelf, they just for some reason don’t appear for 7 to 10 minutes. Maybe these kids are talking to their friends or texting or whatever. They just don’t come at least not as fast as you wish.
5/11/24 Saturday about 7 pm. I kinda had it enough. Is saddens me that although this is a nostalgic place of those candies aisle, beef jerkies and potato chips aisle, selection of frozen foods and almonds and other nuts. Pokémon cards and magic the gathering. All those nostalgia. I guess I’ll just have to move on. Those snacks I can get somewhere else or order them online. I mean I don’t pick up my medication from this location anymore and I don’t see the previous people there either such as that nice pharmacist Filipino lady. If the staff move on then maybe customers should just move on too. These snacks I can just buy them somewhere else I shouldn’t just come here for nostalgia.
Thank you Walgreens for all these years.
And if anyone was wondering. Around 7 pm We were trying to get Olay face wash. It was locked so we called. No one came. We waited. There was at least one other person too waiting in that aisle. Eventually a young girl came, we got tired of waiting and we just decided to leave. She was indifferent, she said “okay”. I suppose that “okayy” is the good bye from this place.

I don’t understand why this place is so slow (not including the pharmacy-those people are great) but god damn the ones at the front are some of the slowest people I’ve ever seen. Like it’s not that complicated. Can we please get some self checkout for this location, I see most people checking out one or two items…

This place is awful. The cashiers are rude and disrespectful to the hard of hearing they don't look at you and speak slowly and clearly when you ask them to nicely they also are lazy and rude when it comes to getting packages from the mail their they don't look and many times they claim they don't see it when they don't even check the whole area and they keep looking at the tracking information and it's clear it's their they play stupid alot and a lot them pick and choose who they are nice to most them are lazy and disorganized to be blunt and forward they are poorly trained and very disorganized.

Lines are extremely unnecessarily long and the staff here is so unfriendly and not helpful. Honestly, they should either get more cashiers or change to the self checkout machines. Also, the service here just screams that everyone needs to be retrained.

Wait forever for someone to open the lock box and another million years to check out.Literally 30 mins in and out…Why don’t Walgreen just put some self checkout machines instead of some retarded people at cashier…

I made my order for pick up two days ago and I received an email letting me know that I had 24 hours to pick up my order. In the evening, I let them know that I would be there in 15 minutes, but my order wasn’t ready

They need at least 2 people at the register at minimum at all times. The lines are ridiculous even in the morning, partly due to how popular the location is and partly due to cashiers taking their sweet time to have a conversation while an elderly lady has about 30 items to purchase.

went there for about two years on a weekly basis to pick up my online orders. most of the times, it is fine, wait is between 2 mins (at night) to 10 mins. but sometimes it got really frustrated. for example, one time i lined up, the store manager Daniel told me if i got online order, i could go to any available counter without waiting on line, which make sense because the other Walgreens, which located @ 8420 Broadway got a counter for photo and online order only. But when i tried to go to the counter next time, a staff told me i should line up, i told her Daniel told me it is not necessary, then the staff asked Daniel, and Daniel denied that he said that. Why would i make this s*** up? I have no problem lining up for 10 mins. I guess he just likes to say things depend on his mode for the day, as in he got double personalities. Overall he is fine, i don't have big problem with him. another time, someone mixed up my order, all they needed to do, is to exchange for the items i purchased and took the items I did not pay for back to the shelf. a female manager/ or a senior staff gave me a hard time. she alleged that the bar code did not match, she needed to find out who messed up the order, the price did not match, and she could not find the order blah blah blah. i just wanted the items i purchased, and i did not want anyone to take blame for it. we are human, it is ok to make mistake. i asked her if she wanted to take a look at my phone for my order, she raised her voice and said no, my husband stepped it to tell her to lower her voice. after 5 mins, she finally gave me the correct items, which were the exact same items i brought to the counter and told them to exchange, and she could not find my order from her list and had to look at my phone. whatever, this store is still ok to go to, most staffs are fine, couple are more knowledgeable than others ( the Asian/Hispanic looking guy with curling hair about 5'10 tall and big, and another Hispanic looking woman with brown hair about 5'4 tall, i think they work at night, and they are really know what to do and nice.) The store hire a security guard to make it safer (I really do not want to see any staff in there got hurt by homeless). got enough items, not a lot though, enough. enough lighting. i hope they can restock faster.
