40-36 77th St, Elmhurst“There are plenty of reviews that would tell you this place is horrible to stay in but we were pleasantly surprised by our stay. The location for kamway lodge is its biggest selling point - located 5 minutes walk from a major subway interchange makes getting to downtown manhatten a breeze. Jackson heights itself is an amazing place to visit on its own. Really, 5 stars ain't enough for what you're paying in terms of location. The rooms, whilst not luxurious, have adequate space, supply good bedding, have an en suite (in the tripple room), a balcony and are kept very warm in the winter. Can highly recommend this place to people looking for a less expensive option but still get a lot out of their time in NYC.Lastly, the cat was very cute.”
“First off, I’m a big guy and I was concerned that the rooms were exceedingly small—- not a problem! Cozy, modern, comfortable, clean, quiet and a perfect location for all my work and play. 24th floor was great, bed and pillows were very comfortable and everything was well done and all was reasonable. I had work near the UN and near 14th and Union and I walked!!

Very quiet at night as well :) only thing I wasn’t crazy on was the pillows on the bed but I love a pillow that’s like a rock so these were a little too soft for me! Didn’t stop me from sleeping every night though as I was so tired from walking all day! We will be back ?”

“Excellent hotel with phenomenal staff. Rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. Fresh hot coffee available all day, breakfast was very good. The in house restaurant is very good, I had the salad with grilled chicken. And best of all the gym is great, dumbells up to 75lbs! Awesome stay.”
“My stay was good thanks to Jocelyn, she has such a sweet and welcoming spirit. She turned our frown upside down and made sure we were comfortable. Loved that, that’s what you call going above and beyond for guests!”
“I gave 4 stars because I hate that high end hotels do not make it convenient for guest. I like doing my own laundry and I only drink certain liquids BUT we don’t have access to refrigerator without charge. They did have filtered water in our suite which I truly appreciated. They also have turndown service in evening. These things and being very safe and quiet make it worth the stay.
The hotel itself and staff are very nice. Great location. Certain rooms allow view of Statue of Liberty and New Jersey across Hudson River. It’s near the Brookfield mall and about 1 mile from World Trade Center memorial.
The gym is very nice and clean. The only issue was there were 3 peloton bikes but only 1 worked.
Rooms: We stayed in suite which den had let out sofa. The coffee is delicious!!!
Safety: Very very safe area and quiet”

Hotel in a good and safe location with good access to the city center by metro or train. Cleanliness and silence at a higher level. Chinatown, you feel like you have visited China, the atmosphere cannot be compared to Chinatown in Manhattan. I will also add that the hotel is very close to LaGuardia airport and also not far from JFK airport (20 minutes by Uber)Safety: Safe neighborhood”

Gat a chance to see the place in person while visiting family here at the beach. Beautiful location, great ambiance and looks like impressive food / service.
Hopefully will get a chance to stay in the near future perhaps when booking and schedule will allow it. Would recommend a visit to the grounds at the very least.”
“I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Le Soleil NYC, and my experience was quite memorable! From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with warmth and gratitude, making me feel genuinely welcome. Their friendliness was evident in every interaction, whether I was checking in or asking for local recommendations.
The hotel’s location is simply perfect; it offers easy access to many of the city’s attractions, eateries, and public transport, allowing for a seamless exploration of everything that NYC has to offer. This convenience truly enhanced my stay.
One aspect that truly distinguished Hotel Le Soleil was the outstanding service. Each staff member, from the attentive front desk personnel to the diligent housekeeping team, showcased professionalism and efficiency. Their genuine smiles and readiness to assist made my visit all the more enjoyable.
While I highly recommend Hotel Le Soleil NYC for anyone searching for a comfortable and convenient retreat, I did encounter a couple of issues. Firstly, I found the rates to be somewhat on the pricey side compared to other similar options in the area. Additionally, I noticed a persistent sewage smell in the bathroom that was quite unpleasant. The sofa bed in my room was another downside; it was uncomfortable and inconvenient, making my nights less restful than I had hoped.
Despite these drawbacks, the overall experience at Hotel Le Soleil NYC was positive, and I would still encourage anyone to consider it for their stay in the city, particularly for its exceptional service and ideal location.
Walkability: It's located in Bryant Park, very close to subway stations and the main attractions around NYC.
Food and drinks: I would not spend money on breakfast here; instead, walk five minutes and you will find many local coffee shops.”

This was pictured from level 9.The nearest station is about 5-7 minutes walk, which is easy to catch if you want to go uptown, there is also plenty of cabs coming in from Brooklyn. Thanks for the hospitality Hyatt team :)”

49 W 44th St, New York“I stay here almost once or twice a month and love the staff and amenities and location. Thank you! The one problem i struggle with is the lack of coffee. No coffee maker in room, none available upon request, and the lobby coffee isn’t available until 7am, which is way too late. Your only option is to walk across street at 6am, which is also not attractive. If they can figure this out this may be the only hotel i stay in NYC from now on, otherwise i may need to find another place!”

242 W 76th St, Manhattan“Dear Wallace Hotel Team,
I recently booked a room at The Wallace Hotel for my parents, and I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional experience they had.
From the moment they arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and provided all the amenities they could have asked for. The location was perfect for exploring New York City, and they appreciated the quiet and comfort of the hotel after a busy day.
One highlight of their stay was the outstanding service provided by the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure my parents' comfort and satisfaction, making their stay truly memorable.
I would like to give a special thanks to Kira Santiago, the Assistant Director of Rooms, for her genuine care in ensuring my parents had the perfect stay. Kira's attention to detail and warm hospitality made a significant difference. She took the time to understand their needs and went out of her way to accommodate them. Whether it was arranging special amenities in their room or providing personalized recommendations for local attractions, Kira's efforts were truly appreciated.
Additionally, I want to acknowledge doormen Jaysean and Juan for their exceptional assistance and friendliness. Their warm greetings and helpfulness made my parents feel welcome every time they entered or left the hotel. They always had a smile on their faces and were ready to assist with anything my parents needed, from carrying luggage to providing directions.
I highly recommend The Wallace Hotel to anyone visiting the city and suggest stopping by the Wallace Lounge for live music and lovely cocktails. It’s a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.
Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience for my parents.

Nearby activities: ESB, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Madison Square/Penn Station

“Luxury hotels in New York fall into try hard modernism or the papal conclave of the upper east side.

242 W 123rd St, New York“When we were searching for properties for our visit to New York this month, we were so surprised to find the Harlem Flophouse, due to its uniqueness and competitive price.
It came for us to arrive and straight away we knew we made the right choice. The interior was so unique and inspiring, that you felt you were being transported back to the past. The checking in process was simple and when we arrived to our room, Rene had made a hand written sign with my wife's name on it and when we entered the room, the radio was playing with jazz, that fitted perfectly.
The room was fantastic and the facilities were just what we needed for our stay and despite people having concerns about sharing a bathroom with other guests, there were no issues at all for us.
We even had the privilege of meeting Rene's cat who welcomed us home after a night out, who was very friendly and even showed us to our room too.
When we were leaving, we met Rene, who was as friendly and inviting as the property.
Overall, The Harlem Flophouse is a cool jewel set in New York and we will definitely be back and I encourage others to go there for the experience.

“Superlative. Excellent all around. I love the jazz and other live music combos in the weekday evenings in back part of the beautiful lounge. Terrific service, great helpful people. Usually my budget doesn’t quite allow a stay here, but I hope to be back many times if I can. I love this hotel.”

He even got a dog treat from Barry, who did a great job of welcoming us from the moment we parked and entered the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is not just a place to stay overnight, but an experience on its own.
Food and drinks: Great selection of food and drinks.”

346 W 46th St, New York“Prime location close to Times Square, but also at a hefty price (standard room 870 euros for 2 nights in October via booking.com). Hotel is good, very nice staff, nice rooms but there are still points of criticism. First of all, the positive: Rooms have a coffee maker, tea, microwave, refrigerator, large comfortable bed, large shower. Now to the things that could be improved: The furniture has seen better days. Unfortunately, despite the double glazing, the windows have zero attenuation, so it sounds like they are open. And since the street is also full of restaurants, the noise level remains relatively loud at night. Even if you hear the constant fire and police sirens, which are completely normal for New York, it's still annoying. It's a good thing that we were so exhausted from really strenuous days of sightseeing that we were still able to sleep. Another point of criticism is the indication "International breakfast"... Well, there are boiled eggs, jam, Philadelphia, Nutella, coffee and toast/bagels, juice... That's it. No cheese, no sausage... I don't think that's even an American breakfast. You also put the dishes away yourself... ok, that didn't bother us.
CONCLUSION: Yes, New York is expensive and the hotel price didn't bother us, but the issue of windows and breakfast should be addressed.
Nearby activities: Ideal starting point to explore New York on foot and by subway
Walkability: All in Manhattan.”

560 7th Ave, New York“One of my favourite go-to restaurants when I was still working near it. Celebrated few friends’ birthdays here. Brought my best-friend from Canada here and everyone loved the experience. I always have the volcano nachos and the fettuccine Alfredo! The interior is amazing. It really is a resort themed restaurant in Times Square. The staff here are probably the best you’d ever encounter. As always, I go to the rooftop bar after here. But if you don’t feel like going up there, they serve margaritas and many other interesting mixes.”
“I stopped in last minute one day, in need of a place to stay due to an issue in my condo that made the air unsafe. Rob was so incredibly helpful and accommodating. As someone whose career has focused on opening and managing luxury hotels and high-end hospitality venues, he definitely deserves recognition. I have other repairs that will need to be made in the future and I will definitely be back to book a stay here when that time comes.”

15 Gold St, New York“Gild Hall is a perfect, quaint boutique hotel with a lot of charm. The ambiance of the hotel is added to by the restaurant and bar all attached and open to guests as well as the public. The location was perfect for my wife and I to spend a night in the Financial District, happy hour drinks, a good meal, and a show in Brooklyn all within such close distance. Rooms were a good size, very clean, and with a modern design. I will definitely look to stay here again anytime I have events upcoming in Manhattan.”

The meals were amazing, the staff were amazing, and seriously good mixologists at the bar. (We had guests ---- picky epicurean guests ---- and they were universally complimentary) Our niggles: just a few actually. The rooms are cute if a little small. Closet space is negligible. The elevators can be a little slow at peak times (and there is no way to go straight from room s to a street -- although that is probably a good idea in these times). The other niggle? The room rates! At some times, have your "heart medication" to hand and banker on speed sis to take out a second mortgage. ( Yes -- that expensive!) Other than those minor items? An urban gem!”
“Stayed here while attending to the 2016 US Open. If you understand the price point you are paying going in, you should set your expectations realistically. We were pleasantly surprised with the rooms - although small, they were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern enough and clean. The only thing we did in the hotel was sleep and eat breakfast, which is the usual continental food (plus waffle maker). A/C worked great, and the hotel staff was very pleasant. There are about 10 parking spaces behind the building, which we used to park free for labor day weekend. Overall the hotel provided exactly what we needed -- free parking, reasonable prices and somewhere close to the 7 train.”
