I am blown away that people have actually had friendly service here.We bought our house and within a few weeks we had notice our mailbox needed to be redone (height, distance from curb). Nothing had changed since before we bought the house, prior owners had it up for years.I asked my wife to ask them to hold our mail, which they did. I pulled the mailbox out but couldn't get a new one installed, the ground was still frozen.Monday of last week my wife swings by to get the mail, they tell her our new mailbox needs to by the end of the week or else they are going to start returning it.I got the mailbox up on Saturday, sure that would cover us.My wife stops by this AM, they said the mailbox wasn't up by the end of the week, so they returned our mail...She asks what the end of the end of the week means to them...it supposedly the end of the postal week, Friday at 4!!They seemed almost happy they returned the mail.We have gone digital on most things but since my wife's father passed several items are being forwarded to us...since they don't really care what the public thinks they don't have a reason to truly perform customer service.

Best U.S. Post Office I have ever been to. They once helped me track down a package with no other info than the approximate time that I shipped it. They have also let me send three bowling balls with no box! Byron, NY P.O. is also very good.

The staff are friendly and go over and above to be helpful. I was in the post office recently with a package that had to reach its destination within 24 hours. . Danielle delayed closing while I gathered the information necessary to get the package together. This is typical rather than unusual in this post office. Everyone is helpful and generous with their time.

This is the only Post Office in my area that actually provides friendly and professional Customer Service! The employees are well trained and fast, unlike many other Post Offices in the surrounding area. I live in a nearby town but I still prefer to bring my packages to Elba to be mailed because I know that they will not take all day to complete the process. Thanks!
