“Our family absolutely loves Dr. Tarasoff and the whole team. Cathy and Lucy are truly amazing pure loves! WE LOVE THE VET TECHS ALL SO CARING! There aren’t enough words to express are infinite love and appreciation the accompanied and gave all the love to our Angel baby Pedro who passed and were so comforting, we take our dog Shayla who is treated with the most attention and care. We were fortunate enough to adopt a new member of the family through their office. If this rating could describe the emotions we have felt while being here this would be a very long review and not enough characters. If you want a vets office that truly cares this is it. They are supportive, kind, and are truly one of a kind.”

“Absolutely the best.Let me start by saying that I’m a crazy person who treats my dog like a human baby. I love her more than anything in the world. She also has terrible teeth, common to her micro-breed. (Little dogs = little teeth = tiniest bit of decay can destroy a tooth in a blink.)Dr. Surgeon and his assistant Maria are AMAZING. The office is small and intimate and so welcoming and warm. The technology they use is state of the art and the doctor even showed me how the various imagining machines worked, and he explained in detail what he saw and what he did. He was so kind and thorough and honestly— I didn’t think they made doctors like this anymore. He’s like someone from a totally different era; so wise and decent. He told me “I still do this because I love the animals” and that’s clearly true.Maria was also so warm and loving to my little dog and I could tell my pup felt truly comfortable and at ease with her. I was so nervous about having my dog’s teeth dealt with but Dr. Surgeon and Maria honestly could not have done more to put my mind completely at ease.DO NOT HESITATE to bring your dog here. And please note, anyone who has left a bad review (go ahead and read them) is complaining solely about money. Well; no, it’s not cheap to have your animal go under anesthesia and have complicated surgical procedures performed. That’s why there’s pet insurance. I’m sorry if it’s going to cost you a lot, but that’s not a reason to blast a truly gifted and deeply caring doctor. No one can possibly have anything bad to say about how their animal was treated here, because it’s impossible to imagine Maria and Dr. Surgeon reacting to any creature with anything less than total professionalism and love. So glad I found them and so happy to be able to return for cleanings in the future.”
“Fantastic experience with Dr Doherty and staff. Everyone was great, the front desk, Vet tech, and Dr Doherty were all top notch. Answered all questions about my Ariel and gave here a comprehensive examination. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Would give 100 stars if I could. “I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Lovisa. She is not only an excellent doctor with up-to-date knowledge of new methods, research, and medicine, but she is also very compassionate. In this age of veterinary practices being taken over by big corporates, it's so nice to still have doctors like Dr. Lovisa who takes the time to personally connect with her patients and genuinely care about the animals.Multiple times she offered treatment, and recommended specialized diet based on newest research which resulted in significant improvement in my dogs' quality of life.During an emergency, I was able to reach her and ask for advice. She was the only one I trusted with my dogs and as always, she came through for us. Even afterwards, she took the time to write me few emails and even a personal note after the passing of one of my dogs. Her assurance and kind words meant the world for me, and my family.I highly recommend this practice but especially Dr. Lovisa.”

“My family has been using NRAC for about 25 years. I remember tagging along with my dad to take my childhood dogs to their vet visits with Dr. Gardner. He was always very kind and gentle.Now that I’m an adult, I also bring my dogs to NRAC. We used to see Dr. Gardner until he retired, and now we see Dr. Antiaris and Dr. Reddy. They’re both lovely. My dogs don’t mind going to the vet because they know they’ll be treated so nicely by the staff there. The techs are all very professional as well.”

She is patient with our dog, and provides detailed information about any issues, and explains, the plan of care. Her entire team is awesome, including Carlos, and all at Meadow Vet.”
“Extremely kind and helpful veterinarian and staff. My dog got her vaccinations and had a wonderful visit. She has a little pink eye which they discovered but no other issues. Front desk staff was friendly. The veterinarian educated me on the cons of not getting my dog spayed. Also learned that you have to go to a USDA vet for rabies shot if you want to leave the country with your animal.”

“What an amazing Veterinary Practice! We brought our new puppy to see Dr. Maida last week for a puppy exam and to discuss vaccines and her general health. He did a thorough exam on her and told us we can bring her back this week for her booster vaccine and a checkup. She had her booster vaccine today and while we were checking out she threw up. Dr. Maida and his staff jumped into immediate action assessing little girl and confirming she was having an anaphylaxis reaction due to the vaccine. They immediately treated her with steroids and fluids and monitored her until she was stable and ready to go home. They continued to check on her and us and answered every question we had with compassion, kindness and understanding. We were both extremely nervous as we had never seen this happen and she is a tiny 2lb 12 week old puppy.Emergency aside, Dr. Maida is an extremely knowledgeable and patient vet who answered every single one of our questions about our new pup and helped us make appropriate decisions regarding her care. The office and exam rooms are clean and all of the staff are kind and welcoming. I have never felt so comfortable with a Veterinarian and if you live in the area, they are worth a visit for your pet.Thank you so much Dr. Maida and all of the staff at Closter Animal Hospital.”
