My son has been a student of Crestwood Music for 4 years. We have had the best experience in those 4 years, everyone went over the top to provide us with the best experience. Our teacher has provided the best musical education possible. All in all, this is the best musical education center we could ever ask for.

Stopped by today to renew my daughters instrument rental (double bass). Walter went OUT OF HIS WAY to get it a day earlier, saving me a big hassle with the school. This is the second time we've rented from Crestwood and both experiences have been overwhelmingly positive. On a separate note, we observed the owner, Dr. Gines Cano, while waiting for the instrument and found him to be warm, decent, professional and VERY PASSIONATE about music/ his business. He's also a graduate of Juliard! I had my youngest daughter in tow and she walked out saying, "maybe I should consider an instrument daddy?" Thank you Walter and Crestwood music! -SA

This music school offers much more than just high quality musical education. It fosters a rich community of supportive music students and teachers. Dr. Cano is a lover of the arts whose primary goals are to expand and give back to the modern world of music.

You won't find a better music school anywhere! My 3 kids have been taking lessons here for 10 years. The owner is a Julliard trained musician who cares deeply about his students and faculty. He takes care to match students with the right teacher and goes out of his way to ensure a positive and enjoyable environment for all. I have been repeatedly amazed by the quality of the musicians he hires, both for their professional accomplishments and teaching skill. We have also rented multiple instruments over the years and both the service and instrument quality have always been outstanding. HIghly recommend!

The best music school in Westchester! My children has been taking violin, cello and piano lessons for years since ever we have moved from Japan. They also offer chamber music and orchestra for intermediate/advanced students, that motivates and encourages the love of music. All of the teachers are highly qualified and have degrees from the top conservatories, not to mention they are all passionate about teaching and care about each of their students deeply. Highly recommended!!

My wife, a former clarinetist, chose Crestwood Music for our daughters 12 years ago. They have enjoyed classes in violin, piano and trumpet ever since. The faculty is stellar and can be found performing in local clubs, Carnegie Hall and the school's own performance space. The school's director, Dr. Cano, has always been accommodating to our challenging schedules. There are student recitals each semester and various group orchestras to join. Even after 30 years, there is always something significant and exciting going on here.

this place is the equivalent of the "local girl", it's convenient & the teachers are fine. But this review is for the owner, the pompous "Dr" He is that rare combination of outdated french snobbery & quebecois rudeness. someone who never passes up an oppty to remind you of his juilliard training...whatta bore. PS: if you choose to pay via credit card in installments, be aware that he charges the deposit installment months in advance, example, Sept classes will be charged the previous spring, which is ridiculous, but further injury may be done by their antiquated billing system, which is all still done manually! (not a typo), which means, often-times that deposit is forgotten about & you are billed an extra installment come Sept classes. word to the wise...keep a sharp eye.

Beware, Beware, Beware! I rented a violin for the school year for $130. I then renewed it a second year. I was shocked to see 4 months later I had been charged over $150! Obviously I believed there had to be a mistake. There sure was. When I signed the agreement the year before it said that the $130 was an introductory rate and subsequent payments were $39 monthly. It would have been nice for them to point that out as I renewed. They probably didn't because I wouldn't have. Not only that, when I disputed the charges, they stated the value of the violin at $660. I ended up having to keep the violin for 10 months paying about $400. Their racket charges more than half the value of the instrument in as little as 10 months! Ri-DICK-ulous! BEWARE!!!
