I called them before showing up and they reassured me that they can help my sweet boy and help us with aftercare. When I arrived they brought me right to a room with my sweet baby boy. They explained to me the way things would work, the services they offer, and ways to help us cope. They helped my baby get to the rainbow bridge and didn’t hesitate or judge us. 100% recommend this place. Clean, great staff.”

“Best Vet i have ever been to! They care very much about your pet and do their best to care for them. They treat them as if they are their own! All of the staff are absolutely wonderful too ,every single one of them care for your pet as if they were caring for their own! And I love that about them because my Gracie is my everything!!! DR Seth Briggs is Awesome!! He tries everything under the sun to solve any weird issue I might have ,and he listens to your suggestions too and I love that he will try things you suggest because he says you know your pet. The care he gives my Gracie is above and beyond and I know he gives the same time care and affection to others that come in to! I will NEVER bring my girl anywhere else!!! : My pug Gracie loves him!! And loves going to "The doctor" she doesnt run and hide and that tells me how much they care for her and love her or she wouldnt want to go!! The staff is great too!! “I have been taking my animals to the clinic since 1985.The staff is approachable and cares very much about animals. They are sensitive to their patients' well-being, and strive for accomplishment with the least possible amount of medicine. My animals hospitalized for a treatment are calm when picked up.last February when my 18 year old cat was having seizures every three hours I thought he'd reached his end. The doctor put him on a regimen that not only stopped the seizures, but also has made him better in many other ways. He is still doing well at this time .”

His cat, Elad, had never been to a vet before and it was obvious he was not well.South Shore took Elad on without question. Elad was very sick and Dr. Kretow was wonderful with him. He was very compassionate, and took the time to explain everything and answer any questions we had. I really can’t thank him enough. Everyone there was wonderful. I would recommend this practice and Dr. Kretow in a heartbeat.We ended up losing Elad from cancer but he will be in our hearts always!”

“One of my pet rats had an aggressive ulcerated tumor and unfortunately the only solution for him was an emergency euthanasia. I had called TEN vets in the area including his regular vet and none of them could fit him in. I was finally guided to Rockacres by a receptionist at another vets office and when I called here the woman who answered actually took the time to hear my situation and go ask the vet directly if they could squeeze me in. I received a call back within a few minutes and they told me they could squeeze me in and even gave me a time window so I could get an extra couple hours with my baby. When I got there the office was extremely clean and welcoming. The doctor explained to me exactly how they were going to help my rat cross the rainbow bridge, and I really appreciate how they took the time and resources to make sure it was as painless and stress free as possible. I am beyond thankful and greatful for this practice, the people here are so kind and compassionate despite me and my rat being total strangers. The kindness they gave me significantly eased the pain of the situation. I highly recommend this vet and I will be back.”

“I brought my cat here for some tests, as he was having some issues, and I wanted to make sure he didn't have any crystals in his urine. The staff were friendly and efficient. They did a great job communicating and letting me know what the test results were and what they meant. They also took the time to lay out all the pricing before they did anything, and they trimmed his claws for free, too! It turns out my cat was afraid of a curtain between the main part of the house and the basement, where his litterbox was. Big relief, but I'm glad I came here and made sure he was ok. Their pricing is quite reasonable, too. I appreciate that they exercise their rights as a private business to eject people who are being obnoxious and making other clients and staff feel uncomfortable. That one star review down there actually sold me on coming here, lol!People, vets and vet staff end up taking so much abuse. Please be kind to them and respect them, OK? Really. It's such a hard job. They really do want to help animals. They deserve to work in a safe environment, and don't deserve to be the target you take all your pain out on. Hey, clinic staff? I see you. You rock. Thank you for all you do. As an aside, the flower garden they have out front is just lovely.”

They don't necessarily take walk ins but they were able to squeeze me in same day appointment. “We LOVE Town & Country. We took our dogs there for 4 years when we lived nearby. Luckily a few neighbors told us about them. They’re old school - no computers, no fancy procedures. Just two vets and a team that cares. What we love about them is that they don’t push unnecessary procedures or expenses. They don’t get worked up about things that animals do (eat grass / poop, have random growths or skin rashes that come and go, etc). They just assure you that it’s normal and give you options.With our one dog, the doc gave us a prescription for anxiety meds, but suggested we try a supplement we can get on Amazon first. It helped. The same dog also had a weird growth. The dog said monitor it and gave us a written quote to remove it, but as he said, it went away on its own.They are so honest and the prices are great. We just moved out of state, and I’m sad to be leaving this vet.”
