“As a single mother I cannot express enough how much I love this store. At one point I was shopping at 3 different stores trying to get the best price on groceries. Now I just have to go to lidl. My grocery bill has been cut in half. The only down side is they don't have every brand, you may need to stop off somewhere else if you're looking for something specific. But the lidl brand is just as amazing. It's worth it to get a week of groceries for $94 for a family of two. I prefer the Merrick location over Easter Rockaway only for self check out and better produce. The meat at both stores is high quality, unlike stores like gala and stop and shop where the meat turns brownish gray overnight. Highly recommend trying it if you don't want your entire paycheck going to food but still want to cook delicious meals.”

“I walked into the store when they first opened their doors and had the pleasure of meeting Dhira, the new store owner! So helpful and knowledgeable about products and totally not a pushy salesman! Have met two other young men that work there and they too were so helpful and knowledgeable! “The parking lot is always insane and the store is smaller than other Trader Joe's locations, but it's still a great store. The store may be small but I have yet to come up short of the products I'm looking for when shopping there.”
“It's a good Asian supermarket in Long Island without one going all the way to Flushing. I wish the prices could be even lower :-) The reward is 1% but you need to wait until $1000 before you can use $10 ?”

“The food is outstanding. The atmosphere is great, quiet, and peaceful. The workers are very kind hearted. They are always smiling and the behaviour of each employees is nice. There are different sorts of foods. They have many vegetarian options as well. You will never know how great this place is if you don’t try it yourself. The appetizers are very good over here as well. When I tried the appetizers at this place, it was better than many of the other places I have tried. I became speechless after trying the food at this restaurant. The atmosphere is clean compared to other restaurants. There are many more things I would like to say about this restaurant but words can’t express how great this restaurant is.

“This is a fantastic local kosher supermarket, offering all kosher products found elsewhere. The store is a pleasure to shop at, with helpful staff, clean and bright store with never having to wait long (if at all) for checkout lines. The prices are generally very reasonable and their sales are great. They also have a lot for free parking.Parking lot is now re-paved!”
“Last week I stumbled upon this amazing poultry store, and I couldn't be happier with my find! From the moment I walked in, the staff were friendly and the place was clean. “I cannot thank Sal, Angela, and their team enough for making my son’s birthday dreams come true and creating this truly amazing Spider-Man cake. Their customer care and meticulous attention to detail is unmatched. The cake was huge, delicious, and the price unbeatable. I have a lot of experience buying custom cakes at bakeries in the area and I can confidently say no one comes close to Salpino’s on price and quality. And for me, the experience is just as important as the finished product, and Salpino’s wins on both. They are definitely my go-to for cakes from now on and I highly recommend!”

With the LIDL, Wendy's , Taco Bell and Burger King adjacent, I recommend entering from eastbound Merrick Road and exiting via eastbound Merrick Road. The turn onto or off of westbound Merrick Road can be harrowing.”

Other supermarkets in the area should take note and consider upgrading their appearance and conditions to elevate the overall standards in the neighborhood.”
“Pick up order last 2 weeks easy, even when no spot open for pick up- I used app to click on my way- The person was outside when I pulled up at curb across the pick up spots! No waiting! My orders correct each time! Happy to find "clean" Halloween candy too!”

A large, bright, airy supermarket with dedicated and well-stocked meat, seafood, deli, and bakery departments, a fantastic fresh produce department with everything you could possibly be looking for, including exotic Caribbean staples, prepared foods and sandwiches, fresh-made sushi & rolls, and an extensive assortment of canned and frozen items, cooking and baking needs, dairy items, cleaning needs, etc., all super-clean and attractively organized. But the best part is how friendly and available the entire staff is, from the people stocking the aisles to the various departments' attendants to the cashiers -- it's an amazing shopping experience, something you'll never find at the big chains. So glad I gave them a try!! (I should add that I've now shopped here several times and the experience has been consistent).”

“The Village Convenience Deli is the best little grocery store in the area. The proprietor is very friendly and helpful. During the LOCKDOWN I only thought to go to the 7-11 north of my apartment building. I totally forgot about THIS deli also about 3 blocks away. I could kick myself. This store has many varied and brand-named items not like 7-11. 7-11 has the worse bread and English muffins not brand names like Arnold or Pepperidge Farm or Thomas. Village Deli also has many things I needed during the lockdown like spices , vanilla, chicken broth that I had to do without. Their prices are also much better than 7-11 akin to grocery store prices. It is also next to a pizza place and a Mexican take out and dine -in place that looks very promising so now I can stop and get a snack too.”
