We have been bringing our dogs to D and R Grooming for a few years now and they’re pretty great!The store is not much to look at from the outside but the staff seem to really care for the dogs. Whenever I see the staff with the dogs, they are super gentle and caring. I like that they do a full cleaning so we don’t have to do the extras (like cleaning the ears) ourselves. If you have a request, like keep the tail hair long, you just have to ask. I have recommended this groomer to friends and family.

Best dog groomer in Nassau county! I have been going to D&R pet grooming for years! They have the best prices and my little guy always looks so cute when I get him back. Doina is the best she's so sweet to all the dogs & tbh my dog is kind of hard to deal with but she's got this really gentle calming energy that really is beautiful.

Used this dog groomer one time for my Havaniase and scheduled a second one even though issues the first. The first appointment was rescheduled and on the rescheduled date the dog was picked up late. Grooming was not done well as tail was kept too long and would get dirty when he would go. Chalked it up to the first time and after apologies scheduled a second appointment. Although I scheduled a pick up/drop off appointment the son did not take the appointment right and once again had to reschedule. When I tried to get another date they would not give me a pick up time expecting me to be home waiting for them. When I reminded them that this is the second time they were unreliable and told them I would need to put a review as people should be made aware of how unorganized this experience could be the owner got nasty told me to find another groomer if I were to write a negative review and proceeded to hang up on me. This is only the third groomer I have used in all the years. Switched from last groomer because of a big price increase but quickly figured by using this groomer that you get what you pay for. Not worth the cost saving. Very rude, unreliable and unprofessional. If this is how they treat the pet parents- I worry about how they treat the pets. Would not recommend for so many reasons

Very good at short notice. Friendly and polite. They do a fantastic job on my chihuahua's nails. He hates getting his nails cut.

DNR was so gentle and good with Eleanor. Her ears were cleaned do beautifully. I couldn't have been more happy.

We have brought our small dogs to D & R many times and always have a great experience! They do a good job grooming, and it's usually pretty easy to get an appointment. Our dogs always come back looking fresh, with a cute haircut!
