Camping. Getting too crowded. Needs updates. Staff are excellent. Beautiful sunsets. Overall a good place to take the kids and chill.

We have been members for 42 years. This is a private resort that requires a membership. It is peaceful, lots to do, make great friends, and a wonderful place for kids to grow up. 64 acre lake for small boats, fishing, and pools for swimming. Sports, crafts, themed weekends, great cafe and camp store.

We stayed in our own camper. Allegagany Mountain Resort is amazing. What an absolutely beautiful place to camp. We will be back for a third time already in October. Cannot wait!

We recently stayed here with our camper for a promotional weekend, and it was great. Although we didn't end up buying a membership just because it wasn't the right time for us, the price for the membership was definitely within reason for what they offer, the campground was awesome for adults and kids, there was so much do to and so many different activities that went on while we were there, had a small hiccup with the Scavanger Hunt but other than that we had a great time, every weekend is something different! The staff were all so friendly and helpful, all of our neighbors we also so friendly, if you have the time and resources to get a membership here I highly recommend it. We missed out on a great opportunity, but maybe someday we will be able to join the family. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
Safety: While we were sitting for our presentation of the park membership, our friends we traveled with had their kids in the park playing and as soon as we let the staff know that they had a team member stay close by to the park to keep an eye on them for us, it was great!

At the tent location the picnic tables are rotted, this place could be super nice but it needs a major remodel on everything. The area is beautiful. Members are super nice. Staff is meh.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this resort. We toured in August 2023 and while purchasing a membership was not the right choice for us at the time, I can see why many decide to do so! The park is beautifully maintained and clean. Options for family fun are unending: 2 pools, putt putt golf, tennis, shuffleboard, horseshoes, corn hole, kayaks, fishing...etc. Staff was very friendly and while we were told we would be in the 800 loop when we used our 3 day-2 night certificate, security gave us nice options in the 400 loop. The higher the number loop the further away from the lake but golf carts seem to be in abundance here! We came Sunday-Tuesday and it was very quiet. Based on the activities overview brochure for the week, weekends are super-busy with bands, DJ's and all sorts of camp-led activities for all ages! It is indeed a private resort and you must purchase a membership or be the guest of a member to enter. It feels very safe. If you enjoy camping, are looking to either set up a permanent site or simply be a "rover" ( one who comes in and out without a dedicated site but a guaranteed space), I would suggest calling and taking the tour.

Don't bother trying to do the camping offer unless you are married or in a partnership and live in the same household as them. THEY definitely discriminate against the single mom. Didn't even ask my income just wanted me to have a significant other, communication stopped when I said I was a single mom. Way to go!

Wish we could have been granted an extension on our free stay voucher. I have been called every year for about 4-5 years straight asking to come listen to them try to sell us the membership and tour the grounds. Last June we finally took the drive out there to visit. Since we do not have an RV, it didn't seem worth it to us to invest in the membership however, my inlaws have an RV and were interested in touring for themselves if we enjoyed our time there using the free stay voucher. Last summer was pretty booked as far as trips and time off of work for us so we were unable to make it there last summer. The season didn't start until memorial day this year and our voucher expired June 10th. We booked the weekend of June 10th to tent camp but the days leading up to our stay called for rain all weekend and low 60 temps. I refused to take my 3 year old tent camping for her first time in the rain. We also really wanted to check out the pool which we wouldn't have been able to do. When I called to ask for an extension to use the voucher at a later date it was a hard no. It doesn't make any sense why they have been hounding me for 5 years to come see the grounds and tried to bribe me there by offering free stats, and then can't extend their voucher for a few weeks? I even told them they will be losing a potential future member (my in laws) and she didn't care. She probably thought I was lying because why else wouldn't this family owned place make an exception when there is a potential paying member on the line? I'm sure there are plenty of open sites every weekend... This place doesn't seem very friendly and from my interactions, they just seem money hungry. We didn't sign up when we drove all the way out there last year, so onto the next. They should realize that word of mouth goes a long way and I will tell people to steer clear of this place any time it gets brought up because of the interactions I've had personally with the staff. They could have and should have handled this way different.

We really enjoyed our stay here! We camped in the 900's (sites very near their RV storage area at far end of park). Lots of beautiful RV sites that are permanent and have owners that genuinely care for their spot in this world. Unfortunately, it's over 1.2 miles to get from our site to the park entrance/exit. That and there is a VERY strict 5 MPH policy. I'll do the math for you: it takes about 14 minutes to get to your site (if you're towards the back) once you pass the entrance or to exit the park once you get into your vehicle and start rolling. If you don't like tacking on over 28 extra minutes to your travels at an already far-from-any-city RV park on a two-way trip, I suggest getting a site very close to the entrance. Park 'planners' should have had an access road with a higher speed limit that connects the back half of the park to the main road put in to mitigate this.

They don't consider single moms and their children families. Spend your money elsewhere.

I haven't been here for years, but my grandparents used to drive down here for most of the summer to camp in their trailer or rent a cabin and I have so many amazing memories here. Between the amenities, the events, the shop, library, etc. I loved going here and I hope to bring my kids here one day as well.

We bought a membership here in 2021 and although we have had a few good visits, we do regret spending the amount of money we did. There is no way to plan a family vacation. We can't book two sites together at the same time which makes it impossible to plan anything. While being members we can book 60 days in advance but we have to wait until two weeks before the actual date in the hopes a site is available for our guests (family). The indoor pool is almost impossible to take small children to. The older kids get out of control and no adults are there to control it. It's a nice place but definitely not worth the amount of money spent.
