Cannot say enough good things about the personalized, attentive, compassionate service I receive at town drugs but I do think mentioning I drive from my home in Farmingdale to fill my prescriptions with them may explain it, after being hassled and lied to by CVS, Town drugs came through with a very important medication I was unable to find anywhere at the time, since they helped me in a time of need, my loyalty now goes to them. to CVS you are just another number in the register, they left me sick and not concerned about the horrible side effects from not having my medication and lied about why they didn't have it or could not get it and left me waiting for days and days. At Town drugs you are a person who's business is appreciated and you are supporting a persons family as well as their dreams to own a small business and support a community. Always shop small, Town drugs is a prime example of a small business that deserves your business!!! Thank you Mike and staff! :)

I have been a customer of Town Drugs, Larkfield Road, East Northport for over 30 years; both my parents and grandparents were customers. We loved Kevin. On June 22,2023 I called to find out if Citracal, calcium supplement was in stock before I went there. Francesca checked and said they do not have it. I asked is she would order it as I have done many times in the past. She said she did not know how to do that and asked me to call back the following day. I inquired if Mike was there and she said no, Bob was. On June 23th I called again, a girl answered; I identified myself and the reason for my call. She put Francesca on the phone and she asked who normally orders for you. She put Mike on the phone and what transpired astonished me. Mike raised his voice and had an attitude, he said if I continue to be rude to his staff that I should take my business elsewhere. I was in shock; he is always so pleasant and helpful. I could not believe this outrage was over a bottle of calcium. I explained as stated above, he asked her and she said I called her incompetent. I offered to come in and tell the truth in front of her. Mike explained she is in pharmacy school and has been with him for 8 months. Mike came very close to calling me a liar. He then checked if the calcium was in stock, said he would order it and said I am sorry for the misunderstanding. I told him this will happen again with someone else and you will then know the truth. Perhaps Francesca thinks that she is going to be a pharmacist and taking an order is not in her status description. Town Drugs has been a fixture in the community for as long as I can remember and I am now 80 years old.

Update: I did not want to end a relationship I've had with a pharmacy for many years over one bad experience. After speaking with the owner Mike this morning, the situation has been sorted out. He treated both my father and I respectfully, explained why and what happened, and rectified the issue. Thanks Mike!Not sure what's going on over there tonight. I was a customer for over 9 years. I received my prescription and it was short by 6. I was with my father and noticed the box was not sealed before we left the parking lot. We immediately went back in to explain and was not only belittled but yelled at about how we were at fault, somehow trying to get over on them by receiving 6 extra, and that I had only been a client for a year? As if that was somehow applicable to the short prescription issue. Like I said, I've been going to Town Drug for almost a decade with little issue and even have proof of this through old prescriptions. Yet, instead of trying to fix the situation amicably, the pharmacist became belligerent and dismissive. The owner Mike has rectified the situation.

We moved here after Walgreens on Ft Salonga made my wife wait an hour for a prescription that was supposedly filled, sent her home with the wrong drug in the wrong quantity, then suggested when she called that she just read the label wrong. We've used Town Drugs several times now. They are competent, friendly, and are open more hours. Glad to see our money is earned by someone local than by a clunky massive corporation.

No one on staff wears masks & we’re currently in a mask mandate. Not welcoming or friendly, but they get the job done with medication.

Have had great experiences here, but the young woman at the checkout/answering the phone has a real attitude and clearly makes no effort. I’d like to support this local business over the other big pharmacies in the area, but not if I have another interaction like today.

The staff here is fantastic !! Love dealing with an independent pharmacy .. the service is great! It's nice to feel Like a valuable customer.. large chain stores dint give you the person touch ! Love the staff ..
