128 Laurel Rd, East NorthportI brought my 7 month old mini golden doodle to Doggie Dons for grooming. When we arrived we were invited into the back while Don finished shaving another dog. My puppy was nervous and shaking at first but calmed down after a few minutes. When it was her turn she was calm and relaxed. They did a great job and when I picked her up a few hours later I was very pleased with her appearance. I will definitely be back in the future.

313 Larkfield Rd, East NorthportHi All: I have searched a tad not only for a great groomer, but a great groomer on Long Island who does cats. ALAS!!! I've found Alex at the Pet Zone. I was driving down larkfield road in Northport during a lunch break, looked to my left and there it was, a big sign stating PET ZONE: DOG AND CAT GROOMING. On another occasion, I stopped in to get the lay of the land. In the back was owner and groomer, Alex, at work with a white poodle, grooming away. I made an appointment and brought my cat back the following week. His fees aren't exorbitant, but his patience is. During the grooming, we chatted. Alex said he's been at this location since 2004!!!! My cat, Hannah, fidgety during most of it, but basically tolerant, looked beautiful once done. What I love about Alex is that he allows you to stay with your animal during the groom. I was so appreciative of this. I've been to one other groomer ($200!. Never again) who didn't allow me to stay with Hannah. I didn't like that. Another groomer wanted to sedate her. What!!! NOPE!! Next. Another groomer wanted her uptodate on all the vaccinations. While that maybe important in some instances, who cares about that? Just groom my cat. My vet doesn't groom. He only brushes. I NEED HER GROOMED!!! Alex groomed her and clipped her nails. Fifty-five dollars plus tip. One hour later, we were out the door. Now this Pet Zone location isn't pretty. If want that, go somewhere else. If you want a groomer who is pleasant, patient and professional, hang out with Alex!! Hannah, The Beautiful Main Coon, and I did

And the tech that we had on our last visit on September 4th was wonderful. She was calm and confident. I am always VERY happy when I bring Sandy to Veterinary Center of East Northport!!
