I haven’t been to Flint’s European. But I do know Andy/Andrew. We went to high school together. I drove an 84 Rabbit so our universes overlapped. Here are a few very true statements:Andy wanted to jump my rabbit and promised to fix it if we broke it.Andy built a summer car out out of a square back by cutting the roof off.I went to his house once and he suggested we go for a ride in the summer car above. He just had to put the engine back in first.I recall him having a silver mk1 gti.If I still lived nearby, I would absolutely take my 7.5 Golf R to him.

I do my own maintenance on my 2003 VW Golf TDI but for anything beyond my capabilities or comfort zone, I trust Andrew to do. He has been reasonable with pricing and answered many questions for me. My car keeps chugging along with 230k+ miles following his advice, so I would say the man knows his stuff! I moved quite a ways away from him unfortunately... But if I couldn't resolve an issue with my car myself, I would send it to him, despite being over an hour away now. I tell every VW fanatic I come across to go to him if they have trouble.

What a gem! I felt like I was in a VW fairytale. Our VW Golf had something wrong with it, we brought it here and they diagnosed it and fixed it. I highly recommend this shop.

Flint's shop is a gem. His knowledge of these cars is unique and some of the projects that he has been able to accomplish are iconic. The shop did a complete mechanical restoration of my 86 VW. The finished product is impeccable! Andrew is also good hearted and down to earth. Prices are very reasonable. Hard to find someone who has all of these qualities no matter the business. Highly recommend the shop - I drive 2 hours each way to have him service my car.
