Work was done the same day I called to make the appointment. On zero notice Monroe gave me a ride home, and picked me up after the work was done.I have been going to that Monroe location (Glenville, NY) for about 30 years.

I’ve not had great experiences before. I accidentally scheduled with Monro instead of Midus. My husband goes to Monro and when we’ve picked up his vehicle the place smelled of weed and I observed someone smoking a cigarette in the garage…not safe. This experience was much more pleasant. The online appt was confusing because it gave me time range. It’s not clear that you should bring your vehicle in before. Luckily I did come early. The service was quick and everyone was pleasant.Click

Kayla the store manager, TSM Hardin, Lead Tech Ed and last but not least GST Jeremy were absolutely outstanding, courteous, and very insightful ? ? ? They went above and beyond to inform me on what I needed done ✔️ and what my options were. The professionalism and kindness ✨️ were very rewarding to see ? and the store was very comfortable and clean. I live in Rensselaer county and last minute my appointment for a tire installation and wheel alignment was cancelled. It was the only time I don't have my daughter so I frantically searched around until I found this Monro in Glenville. I called and I asked the lady (who I found out is the manager, kudos to her!) If they had any appointments for that day (it was a Saturday afternoon) and no place had last minute appointments. She said yes come on in, I can be seen immediately so I went down there and I asked her roughly how long and she said about an hour so I went across the street to Wendy's and it took less than an hour. She was polite and personable. I never had a mechanic say a time and mean it. And the wheel alignment was perfect. I never had to not come back in for them to adjust the wheel alignment because the car usually still veers to the left or right. I will be back and I called to tell the manager I was so grateful. Everything was upfront, professional and quick. Thank you so so much Monro in Glenville!

They inspected my car and literally just made up parts that were needing to be replaced. I do all my own work with the help of a family mechanic. Had my car re-inspected and was advised the indicated parts do not need to be replaced at all.

My experience with my 2 vehicles for the past year has been quite good. They are efficient and knowledgeable. The mechanics seem to be quite capable as well.

Looked brakes and tires over plus the fluids. Said brakes had a bit longer to stay safe. Will go back to them when brakes need replacing

Friendly, competent and quick. I walked in after dealing with a 5.5 hour wait elsewhere and they got me right in. The new manager is extremely nice and they made me feel welcome and that my visit there was important to them.

I am so impressed with the new manager and service team at this location. They always manage to get me right in within a day of calling, sometimes the same day. Very professional and more than accommodating. I own three cars and all of them are serviced here. Whether it's a simple oil change, buying tires or a mechanical problem I am so satisfied with the service that I have gotten. Keep up the good work.

Kayla and Jer I believe was the other mechanic working 10.20 - I have to say they were fantastic! Kayla explained everything and showed me the issue! Jer did my oil change. Kayla made me feel so comfortable in moving forward with my repairs. I will absolutely return and recommend. They were so helpful. I had my daughter with me and they let her watch a movie while we waited! Fantastic!

I went in for a simple tire repair and oil change and ended up being there over 4 hours because they found something that needed fixed. I was quoted an hour to have it done. My car was torn apart and I was at the mercy of the garage while they waited on parts when they reside across the street from an auto parts store!! Disgusting waiting area, terrible communication and I’ll never go back!

I can't say enough about how happy I am with this place. I will never go to another privately owned mechanic shop again. The manager is so cool and pretty and is just a great all around person. The mechanics are all very skilled in their trade so wait times are minimal , which is nice when your schedule needs to be on time . This place is a well oiled machine. Thanks ? A year ago when getting a NYS inspection I had a similar experience to the poster Steph's. I was told my car's front brake pads warranted the car failing the inspection, and yet, somehow, Monroe was able to pass the car, as a courtesy -- but the brakepads needed to be replaced (I received an estimate). Afterward I took the car to my regular, trustworthy auto shop: The brakepads did not need to be replaced, I was told. Yesterday --one year later -- when I had my regular shop look again while getting an alignment, I was told those brakepads still have life. Besides that, the work environment at this Monroe was unprofessional; I shouldn't be able to hear the young mechanics speaking profanely (not that I care, but it says something about the shop). Years ago, under different management, this was a good shop. Unless something has changed in the past year, steer clear.
