“Extremely nice employees. Very charming hotel. A one of a kind in these franchise times. Reasonably priced, 6 dollar cab drive from la Guardia. You might hear the neighborhood coughing or an ambulanse, but man this is New York City for 170 dollars pr night! Breakfast was also top notch!”

“The hotel is positioned right on the water with a gorgeous city view that feels like the intro to “ Friends “ .The staff were 5 star from booking to check-out.You are steps away from the water ferrys, ground zero memorial, Oculus Center, and only a short walk to view the Brooklyn Bridge.”

“We were very happy with the hotel. The rooms were very attractive and clean. Particularly noteworthy is the authentic friendliness of the staff. We were also happy with the location. The location is ideal for exploring the south of Manhattan or taking the ferry to Brooklyn/Williamsburg. The hotel is also in a quiet location by New York standards. Especially compared to Midtown, it is quieter and there are fewer strange characters walking around. However, you can hear air conditioning and other pipes. We could live with that.”

“We had a 2 night stay just recently. Loved the hotel, very aesthetically pleasing & squeaky clean through out the common areas (not common in NY, lol). The staff was helpful & eager to help. Check in & check out were both pain free. The room was more spacious than others we have stayed in previously. This hotel is literally in the middle of time square, which has its pros & cons. The view and location are amazing, & undefeated BUT be aware you will have a hard time coming in and out if you are using a vehicle service. We were waiting 15-30 minutes for uber/taxi to come in & out to pick us up, and this was getting picked up & dropped off a couple of blocks away. The one time we tried to get picked up right in front, we waited 40 minutes for the uber driver to make it to the front of the building (this was over the thanksgiving/black friday weekend)”

“New, clean hotel, with essential services suitable for the frenetic life of New York. The strong point is the location, in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, one of the coolest areas, literally a stone's throw from the Empire State Building, Grand Central, Macy's, Bryant Park, and so on and so forth. The staff is friendly and available to satisfy any extra requests. A mention for the kindness of the housekeepers and the Grab & Go room attendant. The latter was much appreciated, at any time of the day it is possible to refresh yourself with a hot coffee. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and family for a trip to the big apple.”

“I took 1 star off the rooms, which were very nice, but so small for my husband who is in a wheelchair. Even the walker we use to get him a few steps proved challenging to use in the bathroom & to get him in the bed. Luckily we were only there 2 nights because there’s no way we could have worked around the challenges we faced for longer than that. The service we received was excellent, from check in to check out. It’s in a very convenient area for going to Broadway shows. I highly recommended Margaritaville Resort as great place to stay.”

“The hotel staff were kind and were very easy and polite to deal with. The bar is quite separate in the business side and be sure to observe bookings and so on if you proceed up there. The view of Manhattan Bridge from my room was simple but great. This was pictured from level 9.The nearest station is about 5-7 minutes walk, which is easy to catch if you want to go uptown, there is also plenty of cabs coming in from Brooklyn. Thanks for the hospitality Hyatt team :)”

“Nice location. Clean. Staff was customer service friendly and very helpful. Walking distance to shopping food and the Brooklyn bridge! I’ll be back!Update: Yes a year later I came back. Hotel was on point again, the only thing was the cardio equipment wasn’t working well it the fitness center other than that, still a great stay.”

“This hotel is beautiful from the moment you walk into the lobby! You are greeted by a door man who assists with your baggage and then you are escorted to the reception where the handle you with absolute care. The room was exceptional and the highlight of the room was the giant soaking tub! I’m 6’1 220lbs and I fit in the tub comfortably with my legs stretched out. The service for the rooms was very quick and on demand and they go above and beyond to ensure your stay is magnificent. The gym is wonderful with equipment to workout every part of your body and the pool is also fantastic, large, and has swim lanes. The location is perfect for those who want to be in a slightly less congested area of New York and if you fly into EWR, it is a short ride from the airport dependent on traffic. There are plenty of activities to do around the hotel as well and the World Trade Center memorial is a 2minute walk away along with restaurants, convenience stores, etc. Highly recommend staying here!”

“Bryant Park hotel delivered this weekend! Had a bumpy start but Management immediately addressed our concerns and went above and beyond to deliver us the amazing experience we expected. Located at the heart of Manhattan! I highly recommend this hotel. Stop at the Celòne bar/lounge for some drinks before heading out. Great vibe and service. Looking forward to our next stay at Bryant Park hotel!”

“Stayed about 7 days here and really enjoyed it. The location is wonderful - super close to the subway for transit around Manhattan and Korea town for great restaurants. There are 2 right beside the hotel which makes it even more convenient. We came from Newark airport, so had to take New Jersey train to Penn station. Arlo is only an 11 min walk right down 31st street, so made getting to and from the station super easy.We had the queen essential. A bit on the small side but we were rarely in there anyway. The washroom was just a sliding door with an opening, so a bit awkward. Overall nice and clean though. Rooftop is awesome with the glass floor. Winter not so fun, but can imagine it's great with the bar in the summer.Awesome hotel, would use it again, highly recommended for the subway location alone. Decent bagels/breakfast nearby too.”

“A surprisingly great experience, offering a stiff competition to nearby five-star hotels. Breakfast was particularly satisfying. would definitely come back.Noteworthy details: There are two music venues at the hotel, one of which is located at the lobby. Given the hotel's design - an inside atrium running the full height of the building - we were initially concerned that music from the lobby would be heard in the rooms. However, the hotel has a multiple layered white-noise system (both inside and outside the rooms), which has been quite effective at masking the outside noise.”

“The hotel is located at a very close proximity to the major tourist attractions in New York City. You can reach places like Times Square or Empire State Building within 12-15 minutes walking. There are number of eateries suitable for vegan, Muslims and Jews with plenty of options . One can also find 24/7 dining options around. The hotel itself is cozy, staff especially in the night shift and concierge is extremely helpful. Rooms provide a comfortable staying options and room rates are much better as compared to other names in the vicinity. There is a decent restaurant and bar inside the hotel if one fancy dining in. The place is highly recommended. The only irritant is a non responsive general manager and automated emails but despite that it’s a good place to stay. They have fixed rate airport transfer which is better than Uber else the subway is only a 7 minutes walk. Happy to assist if you need any further information”

“This is one of the best hotels I stayed in, I went with a friend and they were very welcoming. The room was prepared and tailored gifts for us. I loved everything about those 2 nights. You have to try The Mark hotdogs!”

“I booked a four night stay in an Edwardian suite to spend thanksgiving in the city. The check in was very smooth and the property appears well kept with nice fragrance pumped right through the HVAC system. The entire place smelled nice as a result.I am a die hard fan of Fairmont hotels and have tried many of their properties over the years. Having stayed at their flagship hotel the Savoy in London and their competitor the Ritz, it pains me to say that the service here fell quite short of my expectations of a flagship property. The staff working there seem just “tired” and they do not seem to want to have any sort of genuine connection with the guests. They are just all about business there. This is very different from places like the ritz there they take the time to get to know you and engage in meaningful ways to make the stay a memorable one.Our suite includes some sort of a white glove butler service but I’ve not even see the butler once during my stay. On the day after thanksgiving, somehow our room was not serviced all day. I even called in around 3 pm to request a house keeping service and it did not happen even then. I had to go to the front desk to request it to finally have the room cleaned.I think this hotel is great and has a lot of potential, but the staff training isn’t there yet. It’s also quite unique in the sense that it’s in a historic building in the sea of ultra modern high rises. However, the hotel seems to only occupy the south wing and is quite small despite looking imposing from the outside. As a result most of the rooms don’t have much of a view to speak of. If you are looking for rooms with views, you will have to pay quite a bit more for partial park views. All in all it was a rather uneventful and also unremarkable stay. I am Diamond with Accor and used four suite night upgrades for this stay, but they were not honored at check out. I had to call in and be put on hold for quite a while to get it sorted. The front desk person wasn’t even apologetic for this clerical error.I really want to like this hotel and would love more opportunities to experience its full glory. Perhaps the weekend was just too busy. Although For the same price I’d recommend going with four season or mandarin oriental both of which have much better views and modern amenities.Rooms: Most rooms have no views despite it being right next to the park.”

“We had a very comfortable stay here. All staff were very accommodating and attentive to our needs. They even gave us a sympathy card when they learned we were there for a funeral which even made us appreciate the care and service especially Donisha who always checked on us whenever she sees us. Good to know at times like this there's still empathy from others that makes you feel better.”

“The Beekman is beautiful. We booked a basic room and it was small, but standard I'm sure for New York. One thing that did frustrate us was that, in a room with extremely limited space, the hotel chose to take up a huge chunk of it with a snack and beverage cart (with snacks and beverages that were not complimentary). It feels very odd that a 5 start hotel would try to nickel and dime you with chips and bottled water. There was a mini fridge under the cart, so we thought that it at least served some kind of purpose, but when we went to put leftovers in there we found it to be completely packed to the brim with more drinks that we had to pay for to drink. We weren't even able to use a basic hotel room amenity because they were trying so hard to sell us stuff! It cheapened the experience for us a bit. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful and very clean. Plenty of space for the two of us to get ready. Room service was wonderful and came twice a day, once for cleaning and again for turn down service. We only had one issue that we needed help with and concierge was very helpful and efficient. The hotel was quiet for the most part, but our room was not facing any main street. We did notice that the hotel has a lot of younger patrons, and hosts a lot of events (there were like 4 weddings while we were there), so there was some unruly hallway noise late at night. It woke us up a few times but not enough to really cause an issue. Based on less than stellar reviews, we chose not to eat at the restaurant(s) or bar, but they were packed every single night. If you want to eat there, you probably need a reservation! We enjoyed our stay overall, but would probably not book again only because we found ourselves spending so much time walking to other neighborhoods for food, drinks, shopping, and activities. If the Beekman is close to the things you want to do, I would recommend!”

“Location was very good. There was a WholeFoods at the end of the block and a cute coffee shop ( Variety) nearby.Loved near by bar Oscar Wildes and brunch place Grey Dog for brunch. The Hotel was clean and modern. The standard room was VERY small -about 200 sq ft.However, we didn’t spend too much time in the rooms. It’s NYC! We were out the whole day and just crashed here at night.”

“An extraordinary visit! I will edit to update once I get home. Just couldn’t wait to express our gratitude for such a great visit!Edited to add:Pre-trip Responsiveness: I was a nervous Nelly about a few things, especially parking. But when I emailed the hotel weeks and then days in advance with my questions, I received replies each time within minutes. Their responses were helpful and reassuring. I didn't feel like I was a bother at all, and that was exactly how they made us feel our entire stay as well.Parking: The drive into the city isn't easy for most of us, but once I got my bearings out of Lincoln Tunnel, it wasn't difficult to find. Pull up in front of the hotel on the left in the loading zone to go check in/drop your bags, get your pink ticket (about $65 for24 hours), then head back out to park directly across from the hotel. My small Corolla was no problem, but bigger vehicles will certainly not be able to be parked there. Just ask via email ahead of time and they will help you. You can't access your vehicle during your stay so grab all your belongings. Drop off and pick up were both quick despite the poor ratings on their page.Luggage: Our room wasn't ready, but they checked our luggage both in advance and the next day after we checked out so that we could explore the city without our bags.Overall attitude: Every employee was absolutely kind and helpful! We were just so impressed!Food & Drink: There is complimentary wine for guests in the evening - nice touch! We ate lunch and the following breakfast at the adjoining restaurant Parker & Quinn. The decor was lovely and the food just right! It's not cheap, but also not over the top. We loved the margherita flatbread so much that we ordered more late night in our room before our show. The drinks were strong and the coffee was hot. There's a rooftop bar/restaurant, and although it appears to be a 21+ club atmosphere starting around 4pm, before then we were able to go up to eat and/or see the great view of the Empire State Building. Don't miss that!Location: We were close enough to walk to all we wanted to see this trip though we saw staff hailing cabs and calling for cars for guests. We walked about 11 blocks north to Radio City and Rockefeller Center. Bryant Park's Winter fest is just a block and half north. Macy's is about 5 blocks south and Times Square a few blocks to the west. There were plenty of options for shopping and eating, and we felt safe walking everywhere even after dark.Room: We had a rare double queen room, and it was HUGE for NYC! The ceilings are high, and that certainly helps with the feeling of spaciousness. There was a closet and a bathroom with a tub/shower. There was a large tv and a tall window. No fridge as expected, and there were lots of drinks/snacks for sale right in your room in case the need hits you. We didn't hear really any street noise at all on the 10th floor and slept well. Temp control was right in our room. Everything was clean and perfect.Details: We were celebrating a birthday, and when we returned to our room at one point, there was an extraordinary surprise waiting for us. I couldn't believe the attention to detail -- perfect! I am recommending this hotel to all going to NYC, especially for the holidays!”

“Best hotel stay I have had in New York. The rooms are humongous and I could’ve brought my whole family of 5! The decor is so stylish and modern, but creative. The location is unbeatable for Williamsburg. My favorite part was actually the restaurant, where I ended up dining 3 times. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfection. I will stay here again any chance I get.”

“I have traveled extensively around the world. My last trip took me to New York for medical treatment. I needed a long term stay hotel with kitchen amenities. I was directed to AKA Sutton. From April until July, I experienced the most superb service and comfortable lodging I have ever encountered. The hotel has everything possible to allow you to feel at home. It is convenient to transportation, restaurants and hospital facilities. There are no words to describe the wonderful staff. Every employee becomes your family with legitimate warmth and care. I have never experienced anything quite similar to the AKA Sutton. I would like to mention the incredible staff who made my stay the absolute best I have ever had in all my travels. Manuela, Francisco, John and John, Ernie, Anna, George, Noel. Sheila and Tracy. I call them my extended family. I am so grateful for this exceptional hotel experience. Love, Carla”
