3186 E Main St, Dunkirk“Aldi, my good friend, you've outdone yourself again. This is *my location*, so the very low availability of fresh organic produce here maybe the norm. Still, I enjoyed the surprise finds immensely, and now I'm testing a few new-to-me brands.
Cashing out was also a good experience. The employee showed good character and strong, confident knowledge of their job. Also, kept busy keeping the floor clean.”
“The employees at the Dollar general on 4th Street in dunkirk are awesome people. Today (12/27/21) approximately around 3pm I went to get groceries and my gift card wouldn't work. I got discouraged and was going to leave when the manager Doreen told me she would take care of it along with a customer. I'm beyond thankful for these people. They don't even have to but they make sure we leave with everything we need regardless. For them to spend their own money on people they don't even know is beyond a blessing. I'll continue to give them my service because you don't find that ANYWHERE these days. I hope they are recognized for what they did for me today. I know I'll never forget them as long as I live.”
“Save A Lot is basically like any grocery store you might find in a city the size of Dunkirk. Unfortunately, in the event that you may need assistance in finding a certain product, you probably won't find an employee either. Except for the cashiers, and the woman that handles the produce department, I'm not sure that there are any other employees. My only problem other than absentee employees is keeping the sales of the Dunkirk SavALot and that of the store located outside of Silver Creek separate because they are owned by two different people. This only bothered me when I happen to be shopping from the weekly flyer from the Dunkirk store but was actually in the Silver Creek location. Each store has their own sale each week and they advertise in a flyer printed up for their store only. Therefore the sale prices in one store may be different from the other and they don't have to be and usually aren't, honored by both locations.”
“Dollar General used to be my 'go to' store if I was in a hurry and only needed a couple things. And it has always been my store for buying my cleaning products, straight up. But sometimes it gets tiring trying to maneuver down the narrow aisles with a cart when every other aisle has a rack of merchandise needing to be stocked onto the shelves. On more than one occasion I wasn't able to see or reach an item because of one of these racks and it was too heavy to move it out of the way myself. When the only employee available is on register, I can't very well ask them for help with moving the heavy rack. So now, since a Dollar Tree has opened up in the same plaza as Dollar General and a lot of the business that I once gave to Dollar General is now being handed over to Dollar Tree. However, I still prefer to buy my detergents and cleaning products from Dollar General because their prices can't be beat in that department!”
“We shop often and always have had friendly service. We just tried a pick up order and it was fantastic. Kyle loaded the groceries in our car and was helpful and happy. Great experience and will shop again often. Thanks”
“Wonderful farm stand found just outside of my old "stomping grounds," State University of NY, College of Fredonia (or whatever they call it these days!!) I stopped here during my quick trip down "memory lane" back in early July and LOVED what I saw at this wonderful farm stand!! I wanted one of everything, but settled on some yummy snacks for my loooooong drive back home to Ohioooooooo, with promises to return one day soon!! Friendly folks, GREAT selection of fruits and veggies, beautiful flowering plants, and great snacks as well. Reasonable prices and EVERYTHING is tempting!!!”
