My wife brought our daughter's wedding dress to Douglaston French Cleaners to have it cleaned. We were very disappointed in the service we received. When we came to pick up the dress there were dirty spots on the dress. We pointed this out to the owner and he said there was nothing he could do. After persistant insisting, he finally agreed to try to clean the spots. When we went for the finally pick up most of the spots were removed. The shop is very small and the floor is dirty. I think the spots on the dress came from the dress touching the floor. The cleaning and a storage box cost $400. We are very sorry that we used this cleaner and would not recommend it to anyone.Service: Wedding gown cleaning

I cannot believe they are still in business. They ruined my brand new dress and lost my husband's suit. I tried to contact them several times. The owner is never there! Half the time they don't even answer the phone. The last time I went in in person to try to straighten things out their oil company was there complaining that they owed them over 18,000.00 Do yourself a favor and avoid this dry cleaners if you value your clothes!

Lost a loyal paying customer. Terrible service, ripped my shirt, and didn’t dry clean my suit. The tear is HUGE.

TERRIBLE. They ripped my shirt, and didn’t even end up dry cleaning the suit. They denied the shirt ripped on their end, it is a TEAR ON THE BREAST. A $250 shirt worn ONCE and they wanted me to pay for them ripping. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! I have given you so much business with all of my boyfriends suits, and now you cannot take ownership when you rip my shirts.

So I started using this dry cleaner when i moved into the neighborhood over 2 years ago. i bring all my cloths to him on a bi weekly basis. Each time the bill is around $100 - $150 because I get everything dry cleaned and what i dont get dry cleaned i sent to laundry. I recently went away for a few days and decided to take my favorite Michael Kors shirt to go out to dinner with. Wrapped in its plastic i took it with me and when i went out to dinner i unwrapped the shirt and noticed some staining which looked like bleach on the front of the shirt. I was so upset... So i go home and head to dry cleaners to show him my shirt and he sais i dont use bleach thats a bleach stain and i dont know if i F...... cleaned the shirt anyway..i said are you kidding me ....you kmow me for 2 years i bring all my cloths here and you have never had a problem like this with me except for the fact you almost lost my cloths 2x and denied that i braught them in and when i inssited you keep looking you eventually found it... he said there was nothing he would do for me not even im sorry let me give you a credit NOTHING. This guy must think he is still liviing in a 3rd world country. Here he is in Americia living the American Dream owning his own busisness and not smart enough to be nice and courteous to a reg customer that has spent at least 3-5 thousand dollars there in the past 2 years... So i recomend no one ever use this dry cleaner and teach this guy a lesson as well as other business like him who want to take our money but not stand behind their service when they make a mistake..Total rip off
